I know Proscriptor is no longer in the band, but it doesn't change the fact that the band is awesome! Their new album, Emissaries is coming out January 23rd, I'm very excited! There's a sample on The End Records website, http://www.theendrecords.com/label/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=579&Itemid=49
and full info about it and the new Phazm release that's coming in January also! Anyone who doesn't know Melechesh should go pick up Sphynx, it's an amazing album!

Unless their new drummer drums in pretty much the same style as Proscriptor before him, I won't be very interested in hearing it.

most of the music on the last album was composed by Ashmedi and I really doubt that the new drummer isn't good.
I'm looking forward too see how will they follow up to a masterpiece like Sphynx.
The cover is fucking awesome.

I'm aware of who composed the music, but for me, it was the drumming that brought it all together. If the guitars and composition were just as good, but the drumming was stylistically quite different, then I simply wouldn't be interested in listening to it.

Well, I'm interested in the band for every member, so if the drummer isn't playing the same way as Proscriptor, I'm sure I'll still like it for the other members

The guitar work on the last album made me think of evil genies flying around and shit.

That's pretty much what i felt before listening to the album. But believe me Emissaries, is probably even better than Sphynx. You are not going to miss Proscriptor.
