New recording interface

What is the best option for cheap but efficient recording interface? I was thinking about either getting a 10X10 soundcard or a Presonus Firepod. It will be used mostly for my bands demos. I will be using Nuendo too.

hey sorry to hijack the thread but im also looking for interface that is compatible with pro tools and has more inputs than a mbox? 8 would be cool if there was something like a firepod but compatible with pro tools thanx.

I think M-Audio stuff has been great. Excelent sound for the money, great drivers. Now you can also pay a bit more and get Pro-Tools that runs on that card. Any of their cards is stable. RME is better sound is you have the money.
