Unfortunately. I remember when I was younger and my idiot friends always wanted to start a band. They would never let me play guitar because all I would come up with were death metal type riffs. Solos and all. They definitely didn't like that. It wasn't "cool". Then one night, I tell a few of my buddies that a band named Between the Buried and Me is coming through and how it's nothing like all that hardcore stuff they listen to. After that show, all arpeggiated hell broke loose. Everyone all of a sudden wants to be a shredder. And fast too. All my buddies all of sudden want me to teach them how to "sweep". Of course I said no. I left playing any kind of metal or hardcore music years ago. Too many irresponsible people. Or kids I should say. Nothing but rockabilly for this fool.

I live in Southern California, the kingdom of scene, and I have never seen one person wearing a Btbam shirt besides at one of their shows and I go to alot of shows where scene people that should like them are present. So, I would have to say that they arn't scene, at least not here.
