According to the tour promoter they just didn't get enough shows confirmed to make the tour worthwhile. Can't believe people didn't want to put that bill on!

i know what you mean re. disbelief at not enough people wanting to put that on... I could have easily seen it being the kind of tour that did say Bradford/Sheffield, Manchester, London, Brighton with even a Brum date...

It was a lack of dates accross Europe as a whole but I agree 2 UK dates is a bit poor

Its tricky cos these big tours have high expenses but smaller UK dates just can't make that amount of money to pay them, especially after the cost of venue hire as well.

Regurgitate are class on record - i've never seen 'em live though - whereas Internal Suffering were even more bland one-dimensional blasturbation than they are on record at Obscene Extreme...

i'd much rather have seen Regurgitate to be honest and if i were in the mood for conspiracy theories, i'd say that the package might have been cheaper without IS as the latter have further to travel (ie from the US as opposed to just from Sweden).

yea totally, i mean a 3/4 touring bill or foreign bands of extreme music is never gonna make any money in england, maybe if there was only one or two it maybe possible, i guess over here its nowhere near as popular as it is over in europe, i could hire a pub venue with sound guy for free, as the venue covers the charges, but i have to book that place over 4 months in advance, and they also have to have enough of a music budget incase no one turns up. i would like to see regurgitate in the UK. myabe next time, for 5quid a gig it could work? :suicide:

most brutal death gigs i've been to in the last 6-9 months have had at least four or more bands on the bill, albeit with at least one or two of those being "local support".

i still think it's criminal that not enough people wanted to put a band like Regurgitate on when there's fuck knows how many bands that either come here and play every single toilet in the country or just never seem to leave (in a bad way).

ive got a feeling there was people willing to do the gigs, but they just couldnt afford to do it, incase the turn out was small, it probably would have been a better idea if Regurgitate came over by themselves and got a Uk band to support them, which would cut the Bill by over £1000 for the gig, thats way more realistic.

hell, even touring with say a Czech or Polish grind band (no shortage of worthy bands there) would have been far far cheaper than flying Internal Suffering out.
