so yeah, as i'm lame and have fuck all better to do... assorted thoughts about the gig on Monday (last night)...

good to finally see (technically 2/3rds of ;)) Gorgasm live after the fucking debacle the last time i had the opportunity, pretty much all my own mentally degenerated self's fault...
Tom/Grindblaster is fucking HUGE!, seriously, i bet that guy could be in UFC or something... Mr Leski reminds me a bit of a pitbull in the sense of being small and compact but with plenty of bite (although i think he only seemed smaller cause he was stood next to the monolith that is Grindblaster)
I hope i don't develop a complex out of practically every single musician i meet off the internet all telling me how much bigger i am than they thought... (maybe i type too small?)
wanted to stay later and get absolutely fucking slaughtered to make the total utmost of the situation, but had to get home to be in work for 10am this morning (resorted to paying about £100 for a taxi home rather than waiting till 5:40am for the first train).
the sound in Satan's Hollow is never particularly accentuating for 99% of the bands i've seen in there, so IMO the guys could have done with somewhere with a better sound - so you can hear the pumping riffs.
opening with Fucking The Viscera (i think) was excellent, even if i did realise i didn't know the lyrics half as well as i thought
i felt an idiot midway through for not realising that the fill-in for Mr Bassgasm for this tour was actually Murray from Severed Savior and not just someone who looked quite like him...
was good to get to talk to Tom and Leski in the flesh to talk about stuff (read: my fucking inherent stupidity/ability to fuck up)...
wouldn't have minded going to the London show tomorrow but for the fact i've got to work again

probably more thoughts, just thought i'd write a list rather than try and glue 'em all together in some semi-sentient set of paragraphs.

hopefully the first time witnessing the 'gasm won't be the last time ;)

Good post. Interesting read, however...

I think it would have been a good day to say "Fuck it" and call in sick for work! :weird:

i know... i thought that when i got home really, passing up the opportunity to get utterly off my face with them, but still...
all the pubs would have stopped serving ale, the offies would have been closed/closing and the only options would have been to pay some ridiculous amount for a drink in one of the shit trendy bars around that area (avoiding Canal Street, naturally as it gets shortened to 'Anal Street' for good reason ;)).

sick procedures where i work are fucking stupid anyway, way way way more hassle than it's worth.

bout time i got a better more proper job to be honest. just need to find some bastards that will actually hire me :suicide:

Yeah, it can be hard landing a job where you can be happy, or at least content. I scored, but I know it took me a long time and a lot of really shitty jobs for total assholes before I got what I have now.
You still shoulda called in sick! :P
