OK, so first the Terrorizer disaster, and now in the last week we've been forced to move the date of the festival as a result of a big mistake of the venue owner. (Not going into details about that now, just wait for the statement on the web site). We could've moved it to one day later on Sunday, Nov 26, but who the hell would be happy about a festival taking place on the last day of a holiday weekend? We checked other legit venues in the MD region to keep the date of the 25th, but they were already booked, leaving us with the only option of moving the fest to the next Saturday (December 2nd) at Sonar. It was either do it this way or cancel the whole thing, and well, canceling it was not in our list of options. There will be an official statement posted on the web site in the next day or 2 as soon as we verify that Atheist can play on the 2nd. As of now, it appears that will not be a problem. Sorry for any inconvenience this might cause you, but it makes our lives much harder than any of yours, so don't go throwing your fist in anger at the computer monitor if you can't come to the fest on the new date. And for those complaining that they couldn't come on on Thanksgiving weekend, your problem has been solved....

It's funny, we haven't had to bend over and take in the ass this many times in 4 years of MDF, but we've done it twice for this new fest. Whatever..See ya there.

First Terrorizer, wich wouldn't have happened anyway (RIP Jesse), then the date change (not that big of a deal but still makes ya think someone doesn't have their shit together) and now I'm supposed to believe Athiest is a "gringcore legend from England". If I remember correctly "a grindcore legend from England has been confirmed to play a headlining set" but due to thier current tour their name couldn't be put on the website. What gives?

We have our shit together, but thanks for jumping the gun. If you read more carefully, you would've noticed that this date change was not in our control. By now I think we've established ourselves as legit promoters, and well, sometimes shit happens and that's the bottom line. And if you would've read even more carefully, you would see why Napalm Death isn't playing now - they will be on tour and 3,000 miles away on the new date. I'm not sure how you can think we're making Atheist out to be a grindcore legend from England. Maybe I should ask you what gives?

Napalm Death could tour this area 5 days out of the week and id go see them every time. quite possibly the best live band in all of metal. glad i got to see them 2 weeks ago even if it was just for 30 minutes
i know theres no real way to get a band of their caliber to replace them but if you can work that magic, try to grab Vader. or maybe a Pestilence reunion to coincide with the Atheist reunion
and i read a Dim Mak interview recently and dude said they were trying to get a tour together at the end of the year this year. i know you said they dont return calls but maybe they'll get their shit together and do this

I guess something got lost in the translation. Sorry. I wasn't trying to offend anyone. Believe me no one knows better than me that the idiot over at Blownar needs to pull the rod out of his mouth and get "his" shit together. I'm shure you understand that a true grindcore fan would give his right nut to get a headlining set from ND. Something we have not had here in the states for a long time. My last one was the grindcrusher tour back in '91. Actually, I think it was in support of Utopia Banished. For some reason I remember Carcass opening up for them. That Grindcrusher show was Nocturnus and Godflesh. Too many brain cells ago. After all I am just a "retard who needs to learn how to read."
Were exactly will ND be playing that weekend? I checked their tour page and their Eropean run ends 11/19. 3000 miles means either somewere in western europe or out on the west coast somewere.

Napalm Death playing is indeed unfortunate, but like stated before, they do tour the US all the time AND are touring during that time. So if you are coming to the AA fest from anywhere in the US, you will end up seeing them in your hometown sometime within a couple weeks timespan anyway.
The change of the date has recieved more positive reaction than negative, so regardless of ND not being on it, I think it still turned out for the better.
If we were working with the exact same budget as we do with MDF, it might be a different story, but this is the first time for AA fest, so we can't get too out of hand.

Haha how have you people not gotten sick of ND yet? They come here like 4 times a year, leave the headliner for a band that's not the tourwhores of grind.
Either way, I THINK I'll be able to make it out to this bitch now since you changed the date and I totally expect Ryan and the guys to put on an amazing show. Stop being babies cause some washed up band can't play anymore.
