Terrifyer was amazing too. Both albums are basically perfect. I guess I just prefer Prowler.

Normally I'd agree with you, but no other grind bands even come close to releasing an album that's SO absolutely perfect. Everything about it is amazing. The music, the art, the lyrics, the production, the creepy atmosphere, everything.

hahaha, i thought you were joking but i respect your opinion. me personally, i dont know if i can narrow it down to just one but these are definately up there...
Brutal Truth - Need To Control (a true classic. id love it if they played it in its entirety)
Napalm Death - Harmony Corruption (crank this fucker up and holy shit is it unreal. it is borderline death metal though)
Nasum - Helvete (an unpopular pick but i loved the shit out of this one. all their full lengths were good but this one did it for me the most)
Sayyadina - Fear Gave Us Wings (relatively new but it never gets old to me)
im sure im missing some but thats a good enough representation of my favorite grind discs

I <3 Nasum and Brutal Truth. I know probably no one else will ever agree, but I think Napalm Death are one of the worst bands ever.

i think their early stuff like Scum is pure shit. same way i think Carcass' first 2 albums were shit...especially compared to Necroticism. but Napalm Death have been getting back on track here recently. The Code Is Red was bad ass and their new one Smear Campaign sounds great. im seeing them thursday. they're somehow playing third fiddle to fucking Hatrebreed and Black Dildo Murder. whatever. just means i get to leave earlier.
Crucified Coma

ND's newer stuff, like the last 2 CDs, were more tolerable, but I still don't really like them. Carcass were always 10000000x better.

Has nothing to do with his music, it's the fact that he has a rockstar attitude.

Knowing what the band charges to play live is a pretty good indicator of how they view themselves don't you think?
In a nutshell, PxDx was playing 3 hours away, promoters contacted them to play here and their rider was just astronomical, it called for like a 6 foot long sub, a french chocolate cake and like 2 grand.
Come on now, seems a little shitty to me.

Uh, not really. They're gonna charge whatever people are willing to pay. They're obviously not a band that is into touring, and play only a handful of shows a year, so their guarantee will be more than usual. And they're not gonna go all the way to TX for a couple of hundred bucks.
Plus the fact you support Jason and XXX Maniak who charge basically half what PxDx do and have 1/10,000th of the fanbase.

hahah that works i guess as for PD's attitude ive seen em live afew times and never was turned off or anything, their just a different kinda live band, theres alot of bands out there that are all into crowd participation and some just there to perform and PD atleast to me seem like one of those bands that are there to perform

I talked to JR for a while at the CMJ show, and he was insanely nice and appreciative. Never met the others, but there's no reason to think their dicks because they didn't wanna drive from VA to TX for no money.

Every time I've seen them has been pretty awesome, except the last time. They had these chicks on stage with them making all this weird distortion sounds. Was just annoying.

ok to get back on topic here id have to say that NAusms' grind finale has to be the best. it the good the bad the ugly, and anyone willing to relase work that sounded reallly bad and was never relased to that point has to be a great album

I think that I would have to go with:
Terrorizer-World Downfall
Brutal Truth-Extreme Conditions Demand Extreme Responses
Nasum-Shift
Also, don't overlook Cripple Bastards or Rotten Sound. They will both be at the deathfest and both will fucking slay.

i dunno about Rotten Sound, to me they're pretty similar to Nasum, but maybe i need to listen to more of their tracks as i heard about 5/6..
i would say;
Nasum 'Helvete'
Bodies In The Gears Of The Apparatus 'Simian Hybrid Prototype' ,

Rotten Sound are more brutal than Nasum. Get "Exit" and you will see what I mean.
I forgot to mention the best new grind album in a while, Phobia's "Cruel." Holy shit, I can't stop listening to it. They will destroy at Auditory Assault. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

agreed.....
its hard to really say what the best grindcore album ever is but its definatley not prowler in the yard, (by the way explosions in ward 6 was way better in my opinion) but i do know that the best grindcore album ever is not any pig destroyer album. dont get me wrong there a good band but there so much better grind out there. plus pig destroyer is kinda artsy and gay. but whatever, just my opinion.
i dont think this is GRINDCORE.....Its definetely GRIND
You're just splitting hairs.
And for me, I'm kinda split between Gadget - Remote (I know it's new, but it is sooo fucking good) and Pig Destroyer - Prowler In The Yard (good call Coma).
"Classic" grind(core) doesn't do a whole lot for me. I mean, I like early Carcass and all, but nah.
And for the record, Nasum is good, but not at the same level as PxDx IMO

I gess my fav is Rotten Sound's "Murderworks". It's so fucking brutal and i think rotten sound are superior to nasum.
Also Gadget's "the funeral march" is another great one
Also check ut Holocausto Canibal, theyr from my coutry(Portugal) and very brutal!

what the hell is the difference between "grind" and "grindcore"?? they're the same damn thing.
my pick for greatest ever is World Downfall... Need To Control might tie it for my favorite. much much kudos on the Inalienable Dreamless mention... jesus christ Witte is a monster on that album. he certainly hasn't topped it since.
