i can't afford to make it to the Assault show which boasts Atheist and Monstrosity... Monstrosity being one of my all time favorite bands....

but i know i will have time to afford MDF, but why would i want to this next year-where is the DEATHMETAL for people like me? all ofthese bands announced and the closest to DEATHmetal is Putrescence and for some people... ugh, ...Origin the rest is grind, grind grind grind grind grind-and some of them are ssssssssssso borrrrrrrrring!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and i'm also paranoid about Dead Infection (GODS!) cancelling again!
leaving me psyched to see... BirdFlesh and somewhat for Putrescene.

im just not a fan. i did the same thing during Regurgitate in '05. sat in the back. i technically watched them but i wasnt paying attention and the sound was horrible in the back so it doesnt really count. believe me when i say ill be up front during Brutal Truth and Birdflesh though.

well the sound being bad in 05 kinda came with the territory the club wasent prepared for a show like that at all and it was a last minute change due to thunderdome closing down however that really didnt change the fact that 05 had a really sick lineup and was definetly still a great weekend

I dont know about many of you, but I just saw Origin on their most recent tour and they were awesome. I think this fest should book more bands like origin and quality death metal rather than all this grind. I like grind, but I would rather see the line up have loads of DM and sprinkle in the grind rather than loads of grind with sprinkled in DM. It is infact called the marylandDEATHfest. I hate to jump on the bandwagon of "I dont like the lineup" whiners. But I do have to say if It were my choice I would have gone after some other bands. But in the end, the job of putting this together is pretty tough and I am just happy that you guys work to put this fest on rather than whining about imperfect lineups like me and everyone else on this forum. So I guess I said all that to say this, Im not in love with the line up this year, but its better than no lineup at all.

when i watch bands, i normally stay for the bands i like and take a break during the bands im not a fan of. like Haemorrhage, they tore the roof off the place. same with Machetazo. 2 bands i love and listen to weekly. but at the same time, look at what Pungent Stench did. i never thought in a million years they'd be as good as they were. possibly the best band behind Haemorrhage at the fest. and im not that big of a fan although i like a few albums. i dont know what im saying right now. im stretching the topic. but you are right in one instance. im not a Butcher ABC fan whatsoever but i got a kick out of watching them. the microphone in the gas mask idea was genius

It has never been a problem for German bands to come over, even if on a tourist passport. The problems are farther east in Czech, but the situation in Poland is improving as you can see..
