Defeated Sanity entered Soundlodge Studios in Germany today to begin work on their eagerly awaited second album, "Psalms Of The Moribund".

The album will consist of 8 new tracks plus a re-recorded version of the title track from their debut album, "Prelude To The Tragedy". The new material incorporates more oppressively brutal elements with the band's technical style.

Other artists who have used the studio include Despondency, Obscenity, Resection and God Dethroned. Keep checking back for more details.

So why re-record the previous title track? It can't possibly be a production disappointment thing can it? Cause Prelude sounded fucking killer in that dept.

Has the song undergone some changes writing wise? I actually do like the idea of revisiting a song once it's undergone variations in arrangement or whatever.

I'd like to see people do in DM, variations of other peoples work, not just note for note covers... like folks used to do with classical music. Ravel would do a variation on Prokofiev and so forth.

The main reason was, to show the song with the new vocals! There´s no big changes in the arrangements, except for one little surprise!

IMO, my band and I like to rerecord songs cause we're not often very satisfied of what's sounding. It may be hard to make it sound like it sound in your head..
