If you dont like it, then just dont go in the pit. death metal guys are so whiney, narrow minded, and intolerant about shit sometimes and its totally lame. Just cause some people enjoy themselves in other ways that dont follow the exact death metal code, they have to put up with so much shit for it. If thats how people have fun at a show, then let them do their thing. just adapt to it so that they can have fun w/o ruining your time, and you can have fun w/o ruining theirs. besides, i thought pits were supposed to be crazy and intense, and brutal, and that shit deffinitley is.

Nah, it shouldn't be tolerated at shows. It's on a whole other level of gayness. Plus it's pointlessly dangerous and causes fights. There should be a gas chamber in the back of every club for anyone who starts to kick the air.

I agree that people shouldnt try to completley take over the pit with hardcore dancing during death metal or anything like that, and that they should be open to other forms of moshing. but if a good heavy slam riff or breakdown type deal happens in a song people shouldnt be givin shit for doing it then, when its actually appropriate. cause if a good slam comes if you dont "punch air", all you can really do to mosh to it is bang your head and stomp around really slow and heavily which is lame because slams and breakdowns are extemely brutal and perfect for hardcore dancing so I just think people who actually do enjoy that style should be able to have their chance to enjoy themselves too if a decent opportunity for it arrives

and i remember at mdf03 and some sets during 04 there was plenty of fist throughing and kicking and all that jazz along with metal moshing too, and it didnt really seem to bother anybody and it was quite and experience cause that made for a really brutal crazy pit
