Anybody got some splendid ideas for the new Disavowed cover???
Think of despair, suffering, desaster, mayhem and destruction, no ripped-off flying bodyparts though...........

something psychologically disturbing. as much or as little gore as could be desired that way.

I think they should get someone like Jacek Wisniewski or Graal to do the bizniz, as i think it'll set it apart from the usual 'run to Mike Majewski/ Jon Zig' or 'put splattered cadaver on front' mindless attitude a lot of bands put into their artwork.

Hell, Joey 'Breeder (aka Joel Sta) can do a hell of a fuckin job too from the number of CDs i've come across with his bastard touch all over them... maybe he could give them a 'special' discount ;)

Yeah, I agree with Surt. I'm kind of tired of gore on the covers. It's funny saying this with a Cattle Decapitation cd cover as my avatar, but the new one has no gore. Par Olafsson (SP?) is fucking awesome too. He did the viking bit for the Deeds of Flesh DVD, and the new Spawn of Possession as well. He's done others too. Raymond Swanland did the cover for Deeds - Crown of Souls. That is amazing. Here's his website: www.raymondswanland.com

Par Olafsson did the most recent Psycroptic too, don't forget ;)

i think it's all too easy a lot of the time for bands to fall into whatever trend happens to be all the rage at the time... ie, you weren't death metal in the early 90s if you didn't have Seagrave artwork seemingly, just about every Relapse band bar Misery Index has those 'olde worlde' style Victorian look to it (think the style of 'Once Was Not' - Century Media i know but you know what i mean)...
