I was expecting a band that would be a bit more underground, but Napalm Death is still awesome. I'm most looking foward to seeing Atheist and Internal Suffering though. I think I might just go to this.

Yeah, so recent legal, contractual crap that was brought to our attention has forced us to take down the ND logo from the site. We can make it blatantly obvious that they will be playing without listing their name and can "officially" announce it in a few weeks. Yeah, dumb, but nothing we can do about it.

It's funny, because in 4 years of doing fests, we've never had a single problem like this, let alone 2 situations in 1 month for a new fest. But whatever, this "band" will still be playing AAF...

It doesn't have to do with Jaxx directly, but a show there with Napalm and Hatebreed next month. There is some "120 mile radius" clause in the contract for that show and they can't be advertised to play another show until that show is sold out or over. Clearly our festival will not harm the turnout of that show, but whatever.
and yeah, that afghan kabob place is run by a bunch of assholes, and Jaxx is run by one, too.

I'm from Baltimore and lived in Baltimore for the first 3 festivals, then moved to Europe after MDF 2005. Evan is still in Maryland (for now at least), but most everything we do is by email, so it doesn't matter where we are.

I teach English over here, but most importantly the women are the best, the beer is the best and it's cheap living...

Jaxx does book alot of amazing shows. But getting kicked out of the bar for asking the bartender for a soda, and getting yelled at for going anywhere in the venue and trying to sit down, because you're not 21 can really ruin your expierience. I also think it's funny that bands like, deicide, exhumed, cannibal corpse, (etc) played in a strip mall

Yeah, it's a giant tour. Hatebreed, The Black Dahlia Murder, Napalm Death, Exodus, Despised Icon, and First Blood. So obviously this fest isn't going to have any effect.
