Wow. Being fast =/= being GOOD. Good - something Dragonforce is NOT. They're quite possibly THE most generic power metal band in history, and Inhuman Rampage is a completely rehashed version of Sonic Firestorm. Valley of the Damned was A LITTLE DIFFERENT than Sonic Firestorm, but with IR, they went in the exact same direction, with the exact same crappy shredding as their previous album.

It's definitely not the same exact thing and fast doesn't necessarily mean good if you ask me. Satriani, and Yngwie and all of the other virtuosos can play like that but Dragonforce is just cheesey good fun and I'd rather listen to that. The core fanbase of dragonforce do think fast = cool. I'm sure there's plenty of people who don't think Horse's screaming or cryptic lyrics are cool, or their unique style is either. To each his own.

I enjoyed the fact that you had nothing constructive to add besides how much you don't like dragonforce. Wow, so being a dick = cool, right?

I'll be seeing the show in Denver, this sunday. Though I can't see how All That Remains fits into the bill. Horse The Band and Dragonforce are both bands with a sense of humor, but All That Remains are just another overly serious tough-guy metalcore band with brootal breakdowns.

I was a little worried when Ticketmaster said this tour was only in one CA venue, and I got scared. I'd be angry if I missed you guys play.

Horse put on an awesome show. They got more cheering than boos but there were still some assholes in the crowd. The triangle guy kicked ass and Nathan is funny as shit. "This next song is a slayer cover." (Audience cheers) "Just kidding, go fuck yourselves."

Thats amazing, when I saw them at SOTU this summer Nate was like "This song is called the black hole. Its actually about my girlfriend and I after I fucked her in the ass cause it was just a big black hole where her ass hole was." and some dude in the crowd is like "I'm with your girlfriend right now" and nates like "haha i feel bad for you cause your uglier than my girlfriend is, here it is."

They were damn good and funny as well. I didn't type more since I was fucking beat, but the dude with the triangle was great and Nathan was like "Who the fuck is the guy with the triangle? I think he works here." And then he hassled Chris too. He was like "This is Chris. Our drummer. We made him in a lab. He's only 7 days old. He had his first real world experience. It involved crack, a hooker and a gay bar. Let me give you some advice Chris. Stay on the road with us and" - he said something but I can't remember what it was. He basically made fun of him and Chris laughed and flipped him off I think. Another song Nathan said "This song is dedicated to every Chinese person I met. ...Japanese. Oops. I'm just a dumb white guy who doesn't know the difference." The audience booed them some and he said "It's okay, we only have 48 songs left. I may or may not be lying. That's up to you to figure out. You'll get it if you have a high IQ score. Mine is 4." He also pulled the Slayer thing again and laughed right after he said Slayer and Erik started laughing too and those of us who fucking had a sense of humor at the show laughed too. And then he said "This is called Reign in Blood until you realize it's not reign in blood." This was my first Horse show and I am fucking seeing them when they come around because I loved their set so much and they're just an awesome band. They introed with Heroes Die, launched into Birdo, played some other stuff... Black Hole, Anti Pizza, a few others, and ended with Cutsman. Fucking great show.

Anyone else got anything of interest to note about their Horse shows on this tour?

i went to the worcester show and was completely honored that nathan dedicated a song to me (i'm what he dubbed opal octopus in his "cult"). awesome show "blink 182" put on hahahahahahaha

I got a chance to see them when they came to Toronto on the 24th and there were definately some memorable moments as well:
- Nathan introduced Erik as "that guy from that Napoleon Dynamite movie"
- Erik was also wearing a yellow shirt and when Nathan introduced him he also said he look like something you smother on a hotdog
- Chris broke his kick pedal after the first song (Birdo) so there was a lil break where for a solid 2/3 mins Nathan just ripped at Chris while they tried to fix it
- Just before they fixed it Nathan said that he was gonna force Chris to play on the broken set, but then they fixed it so Nathan threatened to stab Chris in the face with a drum stick if he broke another one
- When they were trying to fix the pedal the crowd started chanting "Dragonforce" so then Nathan joined in with em for a while, then switched things around by jumping to chanting "Chinese People"
- he also confessed that he was Chinese, then 5 mins later confessed that he was Japanese

All in all the show was sick, the guy with the triangle was their merch guy and i talked to him for a bit while Dragonforce was playing since i didnt really care for them. They had just passed the half way mark of the tour and he said it was going shitty, basically because of the gay crowds they were getting. They were also selling shirts for $30 which was fucking ridiculous so after talking to him he said that Dragonforce was forcing the other bands to sell their merch at the same price which is fucking gay, and he actually apologized for the high prices too. He ended up selling me a shirt for $20 any ways though.

the best part of the show was when the kid in the back yelled "play some more sum41 songs" and nathan said "why don't we play some songs about the stupid faggot in the back" and eric followed up with "wow... you're probably ugly too"
