well things are just about finalized for 1 of the 2 significant announcements we will have in replace of Terrorizer at AAF, and the second band should be ready to go pretty soon as well. We hope to have the web site completely updated with the final billing this weekend or Monday at latest.

and regarding MDF: We will probably have the second round of band announcements ready to go sometime early next week. We're not trying to work too fast, but things are coming together really fast with a lot of amazing bands and you can be sure the 5th anniversary of MDF will be unforgettable.

Technical metal pioneers ATHEIST have announced their first American reunion show will take place at the inaugural Auditory Assault Festival.

The Auditory Assault Festival will take place at the Sonar Club in Baltimore, MD on November 25th. Also scheduled to appear are Relapse label mates MISERY INDEX and CRETIN with many more bands to be announced shortly. This performance is the first of what will be a small number of select American reunion shows by the band. ATHEIST guitarist/vocalist Kelly Shaefer comments, "We are so pleased to be able to play as Atheist for the first time in America since 1991 and excited that it is part of a great new festival. ATHEIST recently began an exclusive run of European festival performances with incredible performances at Italy's Evolution Festival and the UK's Bloodstock Open Air. TERRORIZER Will Not Perform At AUDITORY ASSAULT FESTIVAL After All - July 30, 2006

Despite a previous announcement to the contrary, reunited grindcore pioneers TERRORIZER will NOT perform at the Auditory Assault Festival, set to take place November 25, 2006 at Sonar in Baltimore, Maryland. According to a statement released by the festival organizers, "To make a long story short, deadlines were never met when [TERRORIZER's booking agency] said they would be, and unfortunately we believed all of their lies and unfulfilled promises. We were told it was confirmed and obviously that was not true. We hope to never interact again with this agency which clearly could not talk to us like a man on the phone without hanging up on us and calling us every expletive in the book for no reason. The entire process was nothing but a waste of our time, but again, we don't care anymore."

wow, i suddenly saw that coming into play. to tell ya the truth, yes i am, because i have not seen them since they don't come to MD often(other than the ottobar back in 04 with goatwhore, but i couldn't go because of my work) & they usually go to VA or philly. however, after i saw alarum @ deathfest, and i heard how atheist are very similiar, i downloaded their catalog, and i am really looking forward to seeing them.

however i could name the most obscure band playing the bill & you'd still find a reason to nitpick, so i don't really give a shit what you have to say. i'm going, end of story.
