In about a month, Colombian Necktie is taking a business trip to Philadelphia. For promotional purposes, we're assembling a compilation of local/underground bands that want to have their music heard. There is one signed band so far that will be on this disc, but we're trying to keep it limited exclusively to unsigned underground bands. So far the bands we have confirmed for the compilation range from grind, sludge/doom and noise, but we're accepting submissions from more or less any type of music as long as it's heavy. We're not sure how many of the bands that we've approached so far will be submitting tracks to us, but it's a first-come, first-served basis. Bands with shorter songs (:30-2:00) will have the chance to submit 2 tracks for the disc, however if we get a large number of responses, only one may show up on the disc. Bands with longer songs (3:00-6:00) may only submit one track. Please try to keep your tracks under 6:00.
**IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE FEATURED ON THIS COMPILATION**
Email colombian@fucksicle.com with the following information:
a) BAND NAME
b) HOMETOWN
c) NAME OF TRACK TO BE SUBMITTED
d) BAND WEBSITE ADDRESS (if you have one)
e) "COMPILATION SUBMISSION" in the Subject line
f) DESCRIPTION OF WHAT TYPE OF MUSIC YOU CONSIDER YOUR BAND (grind, death, etc)
along with a link to an uploaded mp3 of your track, if you can't email a zipped mp3. DO NOT EMAIL MP3's THAT ARE NOT ZIPPED. We won't even consider you if you do, as it clogs the shit out of our server.
We are going to try to produce at least 100 copies of this compilation to pass out on the streets, leave in record stores, and hand off to any interested parties we may come in contact with.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION IS JULY 12TH All entries received past that date will not be considered. We're assembling this project out-of-pocket, so donations are accepted but not required.
