Hey Robbe, or anyone else who would know, what's up with Brutus? I don't know if you guys talk much or at all, but I read that they were coming out with something new. And I've heard the new track Verbolgen, and it's fucking pure class. But they don't say what label it's coming out on or anything, so I was hoping maybe you would know. If you don't well then...... :flipoff:

I just checked their website, www.brutushakken.nl and they mention the new album, but it's already past Spring time. And the new track is on the homepage for download. It rules dude!

As far as I know they are still with UL (correct me if I'm wrong). The album is coming, I think they have delays or something. But according to their site they plan to play a lot of shows to promote their new album.
I also hope to hear new information soon and see them again.
Verbolgen is indeed very cool.

I spoke to Schoft a couple of weeks ago! They recorded their new CD and it will be released soon! I heard a couple of tracks and it sounded really good!!!
i'm in two minds about Brutus.... the mp3s i've heard (no doubt of the earlier stuff) sound good if a little average...
Live they were quite boring when I saw them on last year's Gutting Europe, with Beheaded easily pwning them.
Still, at least Jason Donovan's found himself a good day job drumming for them ;)

unfortuantly i have some sad news regarding the brutal band BRUTUS
According to Metalfan.nl, Dutch death metal drummer Maarten "Ploegbaas" Luysterburg (BRUTUS, ex-GODDESS OF DESIRE) took his own life on Tuesday, October 24. He was 25 years old.
In a posting in the guestbook section of BRUTUS' official web site, the band confirmed Luysterburg's passing, stating that "the weight of the world motivated him throughout his life but in the end got the best of him." Maarten was said to be very focused on his mental recovery during the last couple of months and had a lot of things to do in life, which made this turn of events even more shocking for those close to him.
Services for Maarten "Ploegbaas" Luysterburg will be held on Monday, October 30 in Etten-Leur, Holland.
