This official release of Butcher The Weak is in digipack format, along with an 8 page booklet, enhanced cover art and layout, and a cool all black molded poly carbonate CD. This release has been completely re-recorded, mixed, and mastered, sounding far superior to the initial self-released version. I already have the self released version, don't see a reason to pay the rerelease.
Reasons to get this version are new and improved production, new and improved layout and packaging, and this is the official version of Butcher The Weak. Think of the self released version as more of a demo/promo version compared to this one. You will never listen to the self released version again if you get your hands on this one! Not to mention, you could incorporate a cool package deal that goes along with this release. OK, so that's my sales pitch...

There have been some talks about the European tour of some sort in 2007, but from what I've been told it's still early to know for sure as it's still in early talks...

I guess I'll go for the logoshirt, since this comes cheaper. you really have to watch your money when it comes to overseas orders. especially if you don't have paypal like me. but this is definetly worth it.
edit: and the cool thing about the logo shirt is, that its the first logo-shirt of devourment, that itsn't a plain logo with the inside colored.

Once you decide on your final order, please get in touch and we'll give you the total amount including shipping. But in your myspace message it appeared that you couldn't make up your mind between 10 or so different possible orders.
As for asking us if we will have this or that in stock a couple months from now, that is impossible to say. I would always suggest ordering what you want as soon as possible or as soon as you can to ensure that you are able to get want you want. If you're not able to order something for a couple months, then just stop by our web site at that time to see if what you wanted is still available. Our online store is updated in real time, so what you see in our online store, is what we really have in stock.

Sounds good. If the items are currently in stock you should have your order in about a week or so as we ship orders out within 24 hours.
If it's a pre-order item, it will ship out on the date specified with that item.

Hmm... ...then you must have heard it directly from the band then. Because the band and label are the only entities that have access to the master for this release as of now. No pre-orders have been shipped yet, and no promos have been sent out yet.
I was listening to 1.3.8. to refresh my mind of what the original version of Babykiller sounded like. Not to belittle the legendary Wayne Knupps or anything, but in my opinion, Mike doing vocals on Babykiller on this upcoming release of Butcher The Weak are quite a bit better. They seem deeper to me than Wayne's vocals and more powerful. Wanye's vocals on the 1.3.8. version of Babykiller are guttural and gurgle-ish for sure, but they aren't really that deep, and surely are not powerful sounding. The 1.3.8. version of Babykiller I believe is the only actual studio/label released song Wayne was ever on in Devourment. I have not heard anything else he's done - perhaps other demos he did were more brutal, I don't know. And as for the drums, guitars, and overall production, they all blow away the 1.3.8. version of Babykiller in my opinion. I can totally appreciate someone who likes the original version on 1.3.8. - perhaps they consider it a classic or something. But personally I'd rather listen to something that I think sounds good to the ears.
If you purchase Butcher The Weak and listen to it - I know you won't be sorry. Pre-orders ship out July 31st!

Eh, I'm a downloader. With bands I really enjoy, I buy. Devourment have been one, First two CDs, two DVDs, a hoodie and shirt. I won't stop now, haha.
I agree, the music and all is better on the new album, but it's kind of like, "This is how it's suppose to sound." then you get something that doesn't sound quite the same. I just am too into the original, but BtW is an amazing release none the less. The album artwork is fucking killer.

Brutal Bands

for pre orders do you charge the credit card when the order is placed or when it ships out?
Yes, the credit card would be charged right away when you place the order. One may think that this isn't how it should be, and that the card shouldn't be charged until we ship the pre-order to you. But with our pre-orders, the way we look at it is we're not just offering you the product, but also the ability to get it here well before the release date and this also reserves the product for you so that for instance, you get the exact shirt in the exact size that you want. So in a sense you're paying up front for this service. Otherwise it really wouldn't make sense to offer pre-orders if you weren't going to get it well before the release date and be sure to get exactly what you want.
Another reason for this, is that we allow you to order other items along with this pre-order. And we will ship the other items right away so that you don't have to wait on some items just because you included a pre-order item in your order. No other labels offer this sort of service with pre-orders, and most labels don't even offer pre-orders at all. And if they do, many of them still have massive delays in their shipping, so by the time you receive your pre-ordered item, you could have just waited until it was out and gotten it just as fast.

For anyone that has not pre-ordered this release yet, and is going to the Central Illinois Metalfest, you'll be able to purchase Butcher The Weak directly from Devourment! We got a shipment of these that came in early exclusively for the fest. Posters will be available too.
Note - Butcher The Weak shirts and the BTW logo shirts will not be available at this fest. But everything is on schedule and pre-orders will ship out on time - July 31, 2006.
I guess I'm an idiot and can't navigate your site.

Just a little update on the Devourment package deals. As of today everything is in. Let me assure you everything turned out very nice - very high quality and professional items that you all have ordered here. And more good news is that pre-orders will ship out on time on July 31. Yes, it's going to be busy here in our Maplewood office this weekend.
Some sizes are already sold out, and most other sizes are close to being sold out as well. So if you're considering picking up a package deal or even just a shirt, please order soon as I'm guessing nearly all shirts will be sold out completely within the next 2 weeks.
Thanks to all of you for ordering this package deal and making everything possible. I got the chance to meet and hang out with everyone in Devourment last weekend at the Central Illinois Metalfest - they were some of coolest guys around for sure. And it's not too late for you all either. Please go check out the Gathering Of The Sick fest in New Mexico this Aug 4th through the 5th - check out Devourment and a bunch of other great bands. I hope to see some of you there!

Hi everyone, I've got a question about shipping. Basically, how do you figure out the shipping cost for the package deals? Do you just add up the points for each item, or is the price different because the items are shipped as a package? And remember: The faster you tell me, the faster I'll buy from Brutal Bands... ;)

Hey please don't use that point system actually. That's outdated and needs to be overhauled. In many cases you'll end up paying more than you should if you use that.
I'm not sure what country you are in but here are the shipping costs on this Devourment Package Deal -
$5.00 US Shipping

$10.00 International Shippping

the whole cd looks great! the digipack, the new layout ( not that I didn't like the original one but its not exactly the same which is cool!) and the black cd. and the music itself is amazing! great sound and mad props to mike! I like the "clean" vocals a lot on babykiller. and the same goes for the poster, shirt and the stickers.
and the Nailshitter CD is sick too for sure!
I'll definetly order some things again in the future. I enjoy the great service here. its not the half-hearted service you get from the most labels. keep it on scott!

About how long do mail orders take before they get to their destination? It's just that I've been waiting for more then a week, and it still hasn't gotten here (I live in the Midwest, by the way).

Normally just a few days. Did you pre-order a Devourment package deal? If so, as stated on our web site, these are shipping out the first week in September - next Tuesday to be exact. Let me know...

We have a few of these left - put your order in now and I'm quite sure we will still have some in stock by the time we receive your payment. But wait another few months, then we will probably be out. We will always hold items for customers while waiting for their payment to arrive. But we do not set items aside for weeks and months on end.

You already asked me this in this very thread! :bang: Check out entry #85 in this thread for the answer.
And as I mentioned, if someone is actually placing an order we will hold the items while waiting for their payment to arrive. But we don't hold on to items for weeks and months on end.
As I've mentioned to you before, you should probably wait until you're actually ready to order to ask about pricing and availability of products.

If there is anyone out there that still has not received their Devourment pre-order from the first round of pre-orders, please let me know. Please provide as much info as possible. Such as an order number if paid with credit card, a receipt if paid with paypal, etc. Just providing your name is not much help as we've shipped out hundreds of orders and we do not remember every order by name obviously.
As for round two of pre-orders (orders placed after August 18th), they are are being shipped out this week. Some have been shipped and there are still more to ship out Friday and Saturday morning. But all will be shipped out this week.
Thanks again to everyone for your orders and support. It's going to be getting cold out a couple more months, so be sure to keep your eyes open for Butcher The Weak hoodies here in a few more days!

If you ordered a Devourment shirt or package deal, as stated in the post above yours -
"As for round two of pre-orders (orders placed after August 18th), they are are being shipped out this week. Some have been shipped and there are still more to ship out Friday and Saturday morning. But all will be shipped out this week."
These were shipped out last week, so you should be receiving it any day now. It specifically states on our web site next to these items that they are pre-order items that are shipping out during the first week of September. Did you order a Devourement shirt or package deal?

I think the people who prefer the first recording of Babykiller love it for sentimental reasons. But if you play the old one and the new one side by side, there is no comparison. I was never happy with the first recording, loved the song but it was not how I envisioned it. The new one hits it right.

Yeah. I just usually hate remakes. I like the new one, yeah. Just prefer the older one. But the new album is so much better as a whole. :D Come to Houston.

All instructions for sending the money order are included in your confirmation email after you've placed the order, including who the make the money order out to and where to ship the payment to.
In the Billing and Shipping address, you only need to fill in the company field if it's being shipped to a company. If it's being shipped to your house, you just leave that blank.
Well hidden cash is just simply US cash that you send through the mail at your own risk. Some people are not able to send money orders, so they opt to send cash instead.
Let me know if you have more questions.
