View Full Version : Disavowed DVD plans, what should it contain?

We are playing with the idea of releasing a DVD after the release of our new CD! So it's a bit early yet, but I would like to know what you guys think it should contain!
My opinion is:
It should at least contain a decent recorded live show, multiple cams etc.
It will definately contain tour footage from the US and European tour, along with our trip to Japan and Honk Kong as first rehearsel footage with Romain, making of the album etc.
Any other ideas?

I think it should contain that thing we made for the plateau album. That 3d rehearsal room thingie, remember :) I've actually never seen that thing in it's total.

no docking footage whatsoever would have to be my number one stipulation.

Rehearsal footage would be nice to see, old footage (Robbe K with hair-hahaha), Disavowed on the road, etc... photogallery, PC material: desktop images etc..., album recording, exclusive song for the DVD, Disavowed patch or sticker, it should be handnumbered and comes in a digipak packaging!

Do you still have footage from the Bloodletting tour?
Why not tell how Disavowed has grown (I hope you have grown), how did you start of etc.
Why not a Disavowed porn scene? That would get good sales.

Yes, got 6 hours of Bloodletting madness on tape.... Disavowed in the plane, Disavowed in the bus, Disavowed sitting in a big bathtub with a fat lady, Disavowed harassing Severe Torture...etc. Personal highlights are: Nils farting all the time, Gerben's feet, Robbe V being the grandma, Daniel being drunk and me showing my big brown hole in front of the bus at night when the vanlights are on and Ricky of Disgorge is seeing it too....hehehe

Fuck, a DVD?! I'll be buying that for sure. As long a show with a good set list and multiple cameras, I'll be happy. Perhaps some in-the-studio footage for the new album as bonus material.

2DVD with shirt
3DVD with shirt and CD
Option 3 seems lost logic, distribution wise.

also include backstage actions, studio recording clips, signin cds for fans, and demonstration of how to play soem of the guitar riffs.

I think it'd make far more sense to have it as either a bonus DVD with the new album or a stand alone single DVD.
Not wanting to sound disparaging to Disavowed, but I doubt that as relatively underground a band as them will have enough footage/material of high enough a quality to fill 2 DVDs.
If you look at the like of the second Behemoth DVD or the Hate DVD, they both have a good amount of live footage, interviews and everything else, on a single DVD.

The idea for no is the first release the CD, but with an extra CD-Rom part filled with making of's etc.
The hardest thing for a DVD release is to film a good show with multiple camera's and record everytinh to at least 16 tracks! If we git that nailed, then it is not going to be a problem!
