What are some good songs to play by them? None of the ones with 7 strings though, but I want to be able to play a full song by them, not just parts of their songs.

it is
Another Day.
The solo in this song actually showcases amazing melodic phrasing... back when JP was all about the music and had long greasy hair and didn't care what he looked like, only about the notes he played. and now...

Seriously get their DVD and watch the Instrumedely. It is the most insane form of musicianship I have ever witnessed. It actually made me feel worthless as a human being.

Instrumedley was meh, lol.
That Oscar Peterson video I posted > that if we're talking musicianship.

Absolutely, perfect phrasing. Too bad they ruin it with cheesy as fuck saxophone lines.

I have all their dvds, as well as the g3 live in tokyo dvd. The Instrumedley is one of my favorite songs by them and i practice playing it everyday, of course i cant play it straight though, but i can play 75% of it. I think the toughest part of that song is right after the Universal Mind part. I think its the part in Dance of Eternity
