Stealin' Nintendo riffs

Alright I've been listening to the mechanical hand a lot and one thing that stands out is the song "A million exploding suns".

At about 2:20 into the song, there is a riff on keyboard that sounds like it was definately from the nintendo. I think it may be from metal gear, but I'm not sure. Anyone want to clear it up?

I guess you can also talk about other songs by htb that have nintendo stuff in them in this thread.

I just listened to it and it sounds like Castlevania or a section from one of the Mario games. Either way I think that the whole idea of making music the old school way is more unique and original than anything else I have heard in the last 5 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

other parts in other songs may sound like something else, but they're not. we never sample music, just lame quotes from movies, only because they're awesome.

there are tons of songs i hear today that remind me of songs i heard years ago. that doesn't mean that the new bands are all coping the old ones. it's just the way music works.
