Just found out that this has pretty much come about thanks to Suffocation cancelling... AGAIN.

"Since Suffocation is cancelled we decided to have another metal show on around the same time for a cheaper price. So on monday 12th June we have Gorerrotted, Gojira, Desecration and Thirtneenth Sign.

well, the closest i've come to contact with him was he was meant to be putting Avulsed on in Liverpool at the end of April only to cancel with less than a week to go, in favour of some gay emo club night instead (no exaggeration, considering Roadkill is actually an emo club) of a fuckin cool hardworking Spanish death metal band...

it was only thanks to some hardwork by a couple of friends of mine that they managed to keep the gig on somewhere else, as Dave Rotten still wanted to play Liverpool.

Had a really good time in the end actually, Avulsed are fucking sound as hell... plus they recognised me in Eindhoven a couple of weeks later and were really cool & friendly.

Not remotely a fan of 'tech death' as a lot of what I've heard just seems to be blatant fretboard masturbation and lacking in a lot of the sheer 'brick to the face' brutality that i look for in most of the metal bands I listen to.

I don't "do" widdly. Prefer bands either with pure-cranium-cracking (usually blasting) brutality, phat groove or a combination of the two.

Pretty much along the same lines why I don't like power metal...
