Well, that original greeny footage of Flynn introducing the band was from a May 1st 1987 "RAVAGE" rehearsal. I think Flynn said they got signed like 6 months after this video was taken. And Death got signed 3 months prior. We need Flynnbo to confirm this. It's very old footage with Roger whaling away on the bass. I just recently saved the footage from being lost forever. Maybe Atheist can get it on the DVD they hope to release some day.

Great idea, Richie! .....and I haveanother one: Maybe you could make a video - animated, of course - to an Atheist song....kinda like the spastic inc stuff with bambi.....dude that would RULE! You could use Atheist cover art as a starting point for the theme/style of the vid....there's almost an entire story line there, waiting to be written...
Relapse could foot that bill, yes?? ;)

I don't know that we'll post all of it... but I'll talk it over with MetalDick and see about posting some more. That was a video - as cheesy as it is - we did in 1987. Dick is right that we were signed about 6 months later as Atheist. I think Death was already signed for some time and had their first album out...I Think...somebody else would know better than I do.

It's a warehouse where we used to rehearse. It's like an hour and a half of footage of old songs and some that have survived to this day, like On They Slay....which sounds exactly the same. There are also old versions of Unholy War, Why Bother, and other songs that we disassembled and used the parts in other songs like Piece of Time and Incarnation's Dream.

At the end of the rehearsal/"show" we sat down for this cheesy-as-hell interview that we had one of our friends conduct. The first thing was to introduce ourselves and everybody was mumbling...so I just said "Alright...this is...blah..blah..blah..and this is blah blah blah" and so on...then the part the Pitchfork-assman posted.... "and of course me, Steve Flynn..." it was just all in good fun.

Maybe we'll post like On They Slay or something recognizable with Roger playing....let me talk about it with MetalDickie and Kelly....because as we've said we may want to use some of the footage for the DVD release which will feature the European Festival shows.

Actually Chris, I did some 3d character animation for one of Spastics Tunes per Ron's request. Ron said he'd let me know if they were still going to do it. I hope he does, the animation is pretty killer I must say. He's so busy doing other stuff now though.

I really have lots of great ideas for the Atheist stuff, believe me! I also want to do a GNOSTIC video for Splinters of Change.
