I, for one, cannot WAIT for new Capharnaum stuff (and I've heard some of Jason's new riffs, and this shit is even more crazy than "Fractured"). Capharnaum (and basically just Jason the shredder GOD) is genius fucking music, so satisfying it's like that granola bar that just doesn't quell your hunger, you just want more and more... Capharnaum is like the crack rock of grind...the meth of metal...

New stuff doesn't seem so far stretched. First off, I think those songs on "Fractured" had been around a while, if I remember correctly... but they just hadn't been recorded.

Plus, Jason basically lives in his studio. It seems like he's almost always either recording another band or working on his own shit... so it could happen quickly.

Jason basically DOES LIVE in his studio, but if were any one of us on this board, we'd be living there TOO!!! At least I know that I couldn't sleep at night knowing that I had a bad-ass studio in my backyard to play with!

I'm the bassist for 5BD, and I'm also the bassist/vocalist for the Black/Death Metal band EQUINOX (http://www.equinoxmetal.com).

got the entire fractured album, just found out these guys have a website. must say i agree with everything positive said above, heh.

And if the tour thing ever gets goin and you guys (capharnaum) want to go through houston email me, i can get at least two gigs. My guitarist works as a recruiter at the engine room (www.engineroomhouston.net) and we've made some friends in plenty of local bars playin every weekend. ;)

Capharnaum is a awesome band But I hate those vocals, get a growler in there to do some brutal death vocals and you guys would be absolutely elite! Nevertheless I still have "Fractured" as one of my top 10 underground albums of the year.

thanx everyone for the kind comments... i start god forbid on tuesday so i will be busy as shit... as far as death metal vocals go.. i got one thing to say about growling... hurray for growling... im just over death metal vocals for the most part.. i like what matt does because its different and i realize it annoys some people but hey, maybe one day when you join capharnaum we can have a fist fight and then get drunk and eat some pizza and then talk about vocals haha.. anyway, i love matts vocals.. i wouldnt have them any other way... ill tell you a little secret... in ingrained.. the words "free at last to finally burn" thats me baby... me!" anyway, i just proof read this email and it seems a bit egotistical and i just wanna say that i wasnt trying to come off like that at all, id retype it but im way to lazy for that shit.. anyway, i love all of you... mmmmmuaaaaahhhh!

I personally LOVE Matt's vocals. I think they work perfectly with technical death metal. I like death meatl vocals too, but shit man, that gets old fast when its just a stock standard grunt grunt grunt... its good to hear something a little different.

Keen for a new album!! If it happens I hope Matt is involved.

didnt Jason do crotchduster as well? shows what people can do when they own a tight studio. Jason is talented and is given the right environment. Hes great at what he does, and Crotchduster is funny shit.

I really dont like Matt Heafy thought. Sorry if theyre friends or whatever, but Fractured was less enjoyable for me because of the vocals. Plus my thoughts of Matt Heafy from Trivium bothers me. I hate that band, they butchered good songs, and havent written any good ones of their own. Their new shit sucks as well. I just cant get into capharnaum as much with the Heafy vocals.

EDIT: Yeah, seriously, I dont like grunts for every cyllable either, but it beats Heafy. Have whoever did vox for Crotchduster do the vocals in new capharnaum. That would be ace.
