The show was killer! we played to around 5000-6000!. To be honest, considering who we were playin with I was expecting apathy at best from around 50 percent of the crowd, but the response was fucking amazing, they lapped it up, everyone was goin crazy and the noise between songs was pretty humbing. pics..

dawn are pretty much one of the biggest and know bands in NZ right now.. we have 3 big metal bands in NZ here (dawn being one of them).. and all 3 of them were put on the opening slot. ..i don't know if that's how they hooked it up but i'm sure it had something to do with it.

hey bro, we actually just got an email out of the blue from the promotor asking us if we would be interested.
Despite the fact that we are our label here and we do all our own promo in New Zealand, We have a pretty good profile here in NZ for a death metal band. I wouldn't go as far as to say we are one of the most known bands in the country, but I think we do better than say Morbid Angel do in America as far as recognition of the name from the adverage population goes. Theres only 3 million people here, so if you make the right conenctions it aint too hard to do get your name out there.
Also I think all the controversy on the news here last year helped get the name out alot also, and I wouldn't be surprised if thats what helped clinch it.
It was still very cool for us to get asked and payed to do the show. The other 2 bands had a good track record with international supports and one of them was very commercial numetal stuff so for an extreme metal band with alot of blasts etc to get to do a show like this was a pretty cool achievement for me

how did the crowd respond?
Really good actually, I thought 50% were gonna be apathetic at best considering who was headlining, but the response we got was awesome, alot of cheers applause that sort of shit etc etc, its defintely a rush playing to that many people and getting taht sort of response.
