On Mineral, can anyone tell me or notate what the guitar is doing at the beginning Not the Rythym section but the melody over it on the 1st and second strings. Its done a couple of times and I can hear the first part of it but then it gets inaudible.

try the original recording vs the remastered one if you can, the remaster altho it sounds better in general is way overdriven and doesn't have as "clean" a sound as the original...

How do I get my hands on the original? Ordering it could take to much time. Is there a MP3 of it from the original?

Flynn must have a copy?
upon comparing, it's more the drum and bass sound that's peaked, the guitars sound about the same... I guess it probably won't help you much...
surely Rand or Kelly might have a better idea? (yeah I know probably a dog's age since they played that tune but you never know...) although It could have been one of the other guitarists on that album... true...

Yea, they should be over next weekend so I guess I can wait. Although I'm to impatient.

yeah sorry I can't be more help...
A) I'm not a guitarist...
B) have barely picked up either of my basses in a dogs age
all this has prompted me to queue up a heap of oldies...
Sacrifice, DBC, Flotsam & Jetsam, Gardenian, Grip Inc, Kreator, Disciples of Power, Disincarnate...

Holy crap, Sacrifice! I havent heard about them in years. Do you have I.N.C. I think they where called Industructable Noice Command? They where one of my favorites back in the day. DBC's first ablum was the best and Disincarnate excellent. Did you know James Murphy said he was working on another Disincarnate album? He said he was looking for people to do it about a few months ago.

Hey Sonny, if need be I can post an mp3 of Mineral (original release) later today.
I'll dig it out when I get home from work, in a few hours.
PS: Did the Energetic Disassembly copy arrive with you yet?

Indeed, mostly defunct bands nowadays... Sacrifice called it a day a long time ago... DBC while they split up ages ago have reissued both albums and you can get them via their website at http://www.dbcuniverse.com they've got all sorts of great stuff... they also did a few reunion one off gigs not so long ago.
I loved Disincarnate the first time a buddy of mine played it for me, I immediately went out on my next payday and bought a copy on cassette (which I still have, albeit very worn out...) it took me until about 3 years ago to find a CD copy... I even pestered the fuck out of a bunch of Roadrunner staff to check the closets in the offices... :D I know James has a new album planned, but I think his priority is on the Chuck/Death Tribute, and producing some other bands (don't blame him, but I want a new Disincarnate album damnit!) He produced a CD by a Polish band I know called Demise (which has members of Enter Chaos whose website I do) I think they ended up recording mixing and whatnot TWICE and in the end I think they decided to redo it again without him :(
I never heard of I.N.C. maybe I was too far north...

Hey Martinator! No havent seen it yet but It may be here today. You live on the other side of the country so imagine it would take longer than usual. Thanks for the offer on the MP3, if you think it will help then by all means set me up. But Who Cares said, its still not that audible on guitar. Its just that one part thats stumping me.

Sweet.....yes I can hear it 10 times better. I can figure it out from this. I wont be able to D/L until I get home today. Btw, I hear you about moving to Holland. I wanted to move our family to England but got this whole Gnostic thing going on. Who knows...maybe in the future that may happen?
Thanks Martinator, this is perfect. I cant believe how much clearer it is.
I've re-located twice internationally in the past few years, from Victoria BC Canada to London UK and then here to Pamplona Spain... although we haven't totally decided anything for sure, we might head back to Canada...
I've never in my entire life (all 30some-odd years of it) lived for more than 2 years in the same place. At this point I'd be happy to stay put for a change...
There are pros and cons of everywhere you go, and once you start moving, you'll never be "home" even if you go back to where you're from (currently we live where my wife was born/grew up) and we feel like complete outsiders (she's lived in the UK for 12+ years, me in Canada/USA)
It's not bad though. you just have to enjoy the pros as much as possible and try to forget the cons :D (here that'd be bullfighting/politics -- oh wait, that's a con everywhere...)

This song makes me want to throw a chair through a window during certain parts. I will most likely piss myself when I see it played before my very eyes. Pure bliss!

I went the other way - from England to the U.S. in 1991.

I do see that happen a lot but I see more English people moving to Canada. Azathoth I actually have never been to NJ so that was just smack talk. I just hear its referred too as the Arm Pit of the world so it was my first choice.

Yeah, Canada's kind of a halfway house. A lot of influence from both Britain and the U.S. - I've been there a few times and always had a good time. The food in Montreal is especially good.
