I've heard that the Dark Angel reunion shows of the past few years have been great, and that Kreator have had a return to form touring with longtime fans Napalm Death, which is great...
...not so great, IMO!, has been the trajectory of thrash legends Slayer. Their own "trinity" of Classics, the excellent and underrated "Divine Intervention" and then :asleep:
Christ. They should do a Priest and a Maiden- no longer be on the cutting edge but write entertaining songs, but noooo. To sum up how out of touch KK is with the metal fans with taste, he slagged off the song "Cleanse the Soul" in a recent interview. Hates it apparently. Gives us GHUA. and there you have it.
Metallica, well... the last good thing they did? Covers of Mercyful Fate \m/ and Killing Joke! (yeah I do listen to many other things outside of metal. Great postpunk... who in THAT band had the taste to cover them?!?)
