So as I was checking tour dates on myspace, to see if they were FINALLY coming to faggot connecticut. I saw a bunch of dates for the warped tour.
Now if these are trues dates it gives me many mixed feelings. I mean, warped tour is cool, but is pretty commercial, epecially since fuse does coverage of it every yeard and I don't want HORSE the be on Fuse then everyones like OMGZ LOLZ HORSE!!@! And then they get all famous and sell out and my soul dies.
that would suck.
But then again, warped tour usually comes to connecticut, and I would get to go see them. Which would be awesome.
Be careful HORSE, don't get caught by the TVs fame, fortune, and sweet male ass ripe for the picking. Don't act like you don't want it.
Jsut don't sell out on warped, for all our sakes. Go on warped and show those little scenster kids what for.

I think they made the band TO sell out....

I don't know why you are so worried about HORSE getting popular, I think it's awesome that they're playing Warped Tour. If more good bands like HORSE got popular, then you wouldn't have to worry about "scenesters".
But it will be greatness, 'cuz no one is gonna know what the fuck to think of HORSE.

the more popular they get, the more they tour, the more chance it is they come to your town.

Fuck, I hope HORSE gets big.
'Cause then no one will wonder "what the fuck is the band on my shirt"?
And "why the hell is there a little pink guy with cutting things on his head on your shirt?"
Ha.
But no, I like HORSE how they are.
>_<
They're not sell out's.
That's for punk bands.
hahaha.

I go to an art school, and they all listen to shitty music.

Megaman fanatic here. So cutsman made me fall in lvoe with horse.
I'm not worreid about then getting famous. Just the thought of boys in girls pants wearing eyeliner with cuts on their wrists running sceraming "lawls horse t3h bands" is a very sickening thought.
So yeah I'm alittle worried.

Why would it matter if "scene" kids listen to a band you like? The music is still the same.
Say you really like lasagna, then someone you hate says "I like lasagna also". Would you stop eating lasagna?
I think anyone who says that Horse is gonna eventually sell out doesn't have any faith in what they are all about! The whole point of the music they make is to get the message across to all the mainstream loser bands that CONFORMITY IS SELLING OUT! :FIREdevil

I'm not sure about all that, but whenever I played in a band it was because it was fun.

I dobn't think HORSE will sell out. I just don't think the little scenesters are worthy of Horse's awesome might.

scene kids already like us, half the crowds at shows are kids with gay multi colored hair. and selling out is the only real reason people stay in bands past age 20. :weird:

Ahem.. er.. anyway. If you're really the drummer from Horse, you are my hero. I'm a drummer and have learned alot from watching you.
Anyway back on topic, now that I've had my fan moment. that's pretty depressing that most of your crowds are scene kids. but thats also because of the people you tour with I think. And I don't think selling out is the only reason. Isn't it fun to play music? Or is it jsut a job to you?

I think for alot of people its mostly a job. My dad's a musician and he loves playing music, but it's still his job. Sure it's fun to play music, if thats what you like doing, but it's also a way to pay the bills (sometimes). Also, as Nathan told me, the concert experience gets pretty repetitive, so I'm sure some people get tired of it.
But I really shouldn't be saying anything.... since I'm not even in a band..... :duh:

Yeah It's my dream to play in a band someday. I love playing music and I don't think I could ever get tired of it. I'm sure doing concerts does get repetitive though. But the reason I love music is becuase it's fun, and hopefully it's a way of paying the bills too. Making money through music isn't selling out to me, it's changing your sound based on what the mainstream wants. Like if HORSE started playing like hawthorne heights to make more money.
That's selling out to me, and I don't think they would do that.. I hope.

Oh well fuck that!
If HORSE turned into a shitty emo band, I would personally slap each of them... ATLEAST three times.
It's funny that a lot of you seem to think that there are more scene kids followning Horse than the ones who grew up hearing those sounds daily! Most of the "multi-colored hair havin youngsters" don't even have a clue as to what the music is all about or where it even originated.
I say whoever is enjoying the music that is under the age of 18 needs to actually check out an original NES system so they might actually begin to understand the basis of the attraction to Horse's style.
OH, and one more thing: The show at Gabes in Iowa City on the 27th is going to be out of this world good. The place is the size of an old school skating rink and it gets totally out of control! See you there!!!

I'm 15. But I own every nintendo system and play the original zeldas and marios almost daily. that's why I like them. How they have the synth with the nintendo type sounds. Expecially the immense defecation of the bunt, where it ahs the zelda dungeon music in it.

You guys need to realize that it's not about the scene, or how famous the band gets, and it's not like all of you kids came out of the womb dressed in cutsman t-shirts and had your very own I Am A Small Wooden Statue cd in your hands. I'm sure anyone on this board that isn't already part of the band that has their own band is probaly just like GAYxCORE this, or FAGGOTxCORE that anyway and would jump at the sight of a stranglehold major record label contract if they told you that you'd get to 20 minute set on a Warped Tour stage sponsered by Mary Kay make up.
IS ANYONE GOING TO THE SHOW AT GABES IN IOWA CITY ON THE 27th?
