Well, I only had time to listen to Insidious once before I had to leave for work, but I have to say I just may have found my new favorite band....
That CD is fucking uncompromisingly heavy from start to end. I can't wait for my Reticulated package to arrive!!!

Questions-
Is the snare triggered on Insidious?
Is it a different singer on Reticulated, or just a different technique?

Yes it was.
It's still the same singer, only using more different styles this time...

Euh.... no it wasn't... We just leveled the volume (which may sound a little triggered) so you have a more consistent sounding snaredrum. The trigger was indeed mounted but didn't end up getting used. The original idea was to mix the trigger with the acoustic track which didn't work out.

Yeah, I was wondering about this. I didn't think it was triggered, or at least I hadn't ever heard that it was. But it is the most consistant snare sound in the history of death metal. The first time I heard Emeth I had to verify that there was a drummer and this wasn't a drum machine - total rock solid playing.

HAHAHA thanks amigo, I just practiced a lot on my left hand the months before the Insidious-recordings and it paid off. I almost entirely crushed the steering wheel in my truck hahaha... :beerchug:

Hahaha! Awesome! I do the same thing. I destroyed my horn from drumming on the way to work.
So when you say you leveled it, did you use a compressor or a limiter or something? What kind of Mic?

Yeah me too man, I just love playing the US. Right now we're negotiating with some organisers which could take us to places like Israel, Morocco (North Africa!!), Poland/Czech Republic and for 2007 probably a 3-week Mexican tour. But yeah Canada would be awesome, I'm just dying to see that country. The problem is that we're still an underground band with an underground budget ;-) But hopefully we'll be there somewhere in the near future, fingers crossed!!
Brutal Bands

Wow, that's insane! The snare speed in impressive. I really hope that you guys get back to north America for another Brutal Domination tour in 2007. Hit up Canada.
Hey Wakeness, how is the scene up in Canada. I'm guessing it is better than in the US, well based on what I've heard anyways. Are there a good number of promoters up there and do people show up for the underground tours - like how many people do you think? How may places would you say there are to play in Canada?

The scene in Canada as a whole is excellent.
As far as cities with good scenes go, Montreal would be the best.
In the provence of Ontario alone you could do a tour. Some key cities in Canada for metal would be (For underground metal)
Toronto
Hamilton
Kingston
Quebec City
Trois Riviere
Vancouver
Oshawa
Peterborough
I don't know, this list goes on and on. Any city witha population of about 60,000 should draw about 60 to 100 people, but in Peterborough (80,000) the shows can see up to 250 depending on the bands. Most shows I put on through BTACP are packed to capacity, but I hold shows at a venue witha 100 person limit. If you are interested in setting up a tour a know a good guy that is taking care of the Leng Tch'e tour.
I'll help anyway I can.

Fuckin awesome guys. Fuckin awesome.
i''m watching you since Insidious and i believe that even now you are the most aggressive band. You know there are other awesome bands like Decrepit..., Despondency, Internal..., Disgorge etc but you perhaps are out of your minds. I cannot believe that the singer is the same in Reticulated. Awesome skills. The only thing is that the snare could be a little bit higher. That ok cause when i listen to Reticulated is like something hit my fuckin face with extreme strength. Guys you are fuckin awesome but you have to come to Greece. Here in Greece we cannot see extreme brutal death metal bands except for Inveracity, Extree Violence that they are Greek bands.
Keep going guys on pulverizing our minds!!!
My band mate says about Reticulated: Fuuuuuuck!!! Sci-Fi Extreme Brutal Death Metal!!!
Edit: You cant imagine how many fans you have here in Greece!!! :dj:
