Every time I read a thread about Disgorges gear, someone says Diego uses a Mesa preamp, but never what type. If possible could I get a detailed list of gear for both guitarists?

He uses a red one. :D
I want to know what is too, it made his tone sound very close to the POIT album when they played down here.

i'm pretty sure Diego didn't bring his gear down this way..
he was using a line 6 vetta head when they played here
i think Ed uses a line 6 POD Pro

have you ever used or played on one?.. they look so damn complicated to use.. i can just imagine sitting there for hours and hours trying to get the right town and sorting out the channels and what not..

I'd say they're about as complex as the Digitech preamps Matt and Mason use now.

ahh ok i don't know i thought my amp was complicated then i came across the vetta.. now my amp doesn't seem complicated at all. i guess all these digital amps amps with digital interfaces etc are some what complicated to operate at first

Pretty sure Diego was using a Boss VF-1.

He used a Mesa Recto Preamp on the CTF as far as I know.

From what I know they use Line 6 gear.
Thats what they were using when we played with them last year.

I think that is mostly for live shows. I don't think that those Line 6's would be all that great in the studio, but then again I have been proved wrong.

Hhaha!!!! I posted a video that included our gear at the jam room!!!!! but it's gone and lost forever... anyway.... Until POIT, Diego used a Boss VF1 and a Mesa strategy 400, mesa/ marshall 4x12 cabs..... when we recorded POIT He used my POD pro in his setup with slightly different programming... He now has an old school Line6 Tubetone and I still use the POD pro running through a 15 band DOD EQ and a Mesa Recto 2:100..... his cabs are a mmarshall 4x12 with one of my Genz Benz Gflex 2x12on top for monitoring, and My cab is a self built 4x12 w/ celestion 75's, with also my other gflex 2x12 for monitoring...... it's been sweet, but my dream rig is a tri axix w/ a vht 2:52 power amp..... vomit remnants has that rig, only with a 2:92 vht

LTD: 81
Washburn: 60
81 is a brighter pickup wheareas the 60 has more a voice emphasis for the C tuning......... I use ernie ball 'not even slinkys' which are 12-56...

My buddy used a line 6 head for a while, but switched to some very simple, very straight-forward Marshall processor after a year. He never figured out the line 6 with all it's twirlies and buttons.
The Marshall sounds nice, and he runs it with a marshall power amp too.

I plugged your settings into my pod Ed, and it didn't sound very "disgorge-y". The Recto tone on the pod is very laid back and not as mean or snarly as it is on the album, do you use the external EQ you have to negate that?

I've been using my pod a bit more lately, and noticed that the line 6 insane model sounds closer to POIT.

I use an emg 60 on one of my axes an 81 on the other.... overall the gain is increased somewhat before it goes into the amp... um... yeah.. I have a 15 band EQ I use to take out certain mid overtones that live in my cabinets..... a good portion of my own sound comes from my picking attack which I can use amp settings that aren't so 'dirty'... something I obsessed about since I started playing thrash, then over to DM...... I try and get every 16th note in, but it's like 65% I actually get it fully nailed live.... more importantly, as long as the trick chunk triplets or other detail picking is executed... that's most important cuz no one can really hear the imperfections in the straight 16th!! hahahaha... I use the same settings on the vid below... but I'm running direct into a board so I don't have the same sound as on POIT... I even have my acoustic aspect miked so you can hear some of the perfections/ imperfections..... all in all, it's recto setting with my drive at 3 o clock

hahaha... I was hung over and that was the 3rd time in like 3 months since I played that song.....
Well considering that I can't even play fast enough to match the alternate picking on that song cleanly, I wish I could even play it sober. I think the only disgorge song I'm even close to learning is Atonement, but the tab for that is probably wrong.

I know its pretty accurate, but there are some parts that I can't place, something just sounds off.
