I know this is not a Gnostic Forum and apologies to Kelly and the rest of you but I wanted to post this. We are scheduling our studio time back at Ledbelly in mid June to record our next demo. We'll keep you posted on the progress, and if any of you have a myspace account check our myspace web page at http://www.myspace.com/gnosticmusic

Good point, but I think I'll be begging to hang with Nevermore at Wacken. Flynn can handle the distribution.

You're welcome. No problem. We're scheduled for June 10th as our first day in the studio to record 3 or 4 new songs... they should prove to be a step forward for us in many ways..... stay tuned.

Awesome! I really enjoyed the stuff you had out earlier, and I'm looking forward to this new stuff. I think that you guys have a really great sound, wicked guitars, crazy bass and superb drums, so yeah, I'll definitely be following Gnostic's career!
Best of luck in the studio! :beerchug:

The only thing that didnt please me in the demo, was the sound of the bass.
Somehow it sounds really cheesy, dont know why but I've always preferred a soft sound.

I like the vocals in the demo, and i think that he could make a very good work in the band, just need a little of time and work...
I don`t like the Anselmo parts, but it`s very variated and this music is hard to sing...
Keep rocking...

I like Kevin's vocals, I'd say he sounds a bit like Mike DiSalvo and Phil Anselmo, cant go wrong there!

Jordan,
I sent out a batch the week before last and unfortunately yours wasn't in it. However, I'm getting on it. I'll have it in the mail to you this week. Sorry for being slow with it. I'll get on it immediately.

I think this demo rules and I cant wait to hear the final product. Its a breath of total fresh air in the metal community.I love the bass tone and mix.the tap and thump parts are great to hear in metal,Ive been trying to do that for years.Steve is ruling, the guitar parts are tastefully done and I love the whole direction.I also like the vocals. This is METAL I want to buy and support.

Thanks Rog..... you are too kind. I agree about the tap and thump on the bass... Stephen (Gnostic bassist) is a great player and his sound is refreshing in aggressive/death metal. He compliments Sonny's technical/death-metal writing style well. For us, that demo seems so old now...as it was completed last September....and was our first few songs we wrote together. Our new stuff (due to be recorded in June) will be a progression from there.
Thanks again!!

To Steve and the rest of the Gnostic crew,
Thank you for taking the time to ship out these demos for free. I received mine today and I'm sure that I’m not alone when I say that after hearing the demo, the upcoming Gnostic record shot up my list of most anticipated 2006 releases.
Thanks again for your generosity,
Jayson Young
P.S. Where exactly in Atlanta are you guys recording the new album and are there any plans at this point to launch a Gnostic US tour to coincide with the record release?

Thanks for the comment wEEman33. We are recording at Ledbelly Studios with Matt Washburn, I think he did Mastadon's recent album or albums? He's a real cool guy and we really like working with him. We have different objectives and a more refined sound so hopefully this will be a better result. Its definitely going to be more aggressive and since we have more studio experiance we can hash out the undesirables from our last session. Personally speaking since I'm not positive how the rest of the guys view their parts? I think Ledbelly is in Marrietta GA somewhere northwest. This place is so sprawled out I dont usually get too that side of town. We will definitely set some type of tour eventually but were not certain until after the Atheist reunions are over.

I couldn't have said this any better myself.
Steve, again thanks for the demo. I recently played it for a VERY picky friend (difficult to play him something and sell him on it immediately) and he was asking for a copy before we got through the second track!
This demo is unreal. I have waited a long time for something this new AND fresh. Great music, great tones, great vocals. I'll be all over anything this band puts out. I HAVE to support this stuff!
Anyone still sleeping that hasn't checked this out needs to quit hitting the snooze and get to it. :emot-bulb

You're more than welcome and thank you for your kind words about Gnostic!!! I know everybody in the band greatly appreciates it. We are our own worst critics and believe that our new material will prove to be a solid progression in song writing and originality fromt the Splinters demo. Those songs were barely finished when we recorded them, though they are solidly indicative of our style: tech/death/prog metal.
BTW, we're getting t-shirts made this week and will have them available soon.
Thanks again!

Satura, I'm not exactly positive what you mean so I will try and cover all bases. The shirts that are on order will be at a reasonable cost not including shipping. We are deciding what the shirts should go for considering the cost to have them made. We will have shirt design on our merchandising link so everyone will know what they are getting. Stickers come free with purchase of a T-shirt. <---woopty doo.
As far as our demo, we are sending them out free of charge and just in case you havent recieved one shoot Flynn a PM so he can get one out to you. Mind you Flynn has been asking for shipping charges for out of the country requests. Its been nice that we have had that many requests, keep it coming. And I guess to answer your question, we'll even ship to Iraq if someone asks for it.
