hi Rand! Nice to see you on the board!
This reminds me of a joke that was told on the Blind Guardian forum, back in the days when I was a fan... the lead guitarist never posted, and people said he was an hologram... :)
see you @ the Evolution fest!

haha, cool, thanks Steve, I had to ask because I'm constantly amazed that he can do what he does playing upside down. I suppose once you learned to play that way, it'd be second nature, but I still find it impressive :p

His mom ran a music store in Pennsylvania where he grew up, and being left handed, he'd pick up the right-handed guitars and play them left handed. They didn't really have lefties in a small music store like that. So, he started playing from a very young age upside down. So, basically, he takes a right handed guitar and plays it left handed.....but....by the time we met he had lefty guitars, like the "V" he always uses, and flipped the strings...that way the nobs and everything were on the correct side.

His upside down playing enabled him to do/write some things that "normal" players wouldn't. His unique guitar style is fitting....as.... I don't think there is another like him on the planet......anybody who knows him would agree...he's.....well...... Rand.

Hey Rand, i`m a guitar player too... i use to play in a band called Pri.Ma.Te. from Argentina, and i think that long time ago i exchange some mails with you, Steve and Kelly... now i play in a band called Satura...
I`m realy excited about the reunion...
And your guitar playing is amazing, in fact i think that Elements have the best solos in the history of music they go directly to my heart and soul...
Keep rocking
Luciano

Edit: To all the people in the forum, excuse my ugly english... :emot-cryi

yeah Rand you're back!!! How are things going dude?
I and many others were really pissed off when we knew you couldn't tour with atheist, altough mr. baker surely did a great job... I hope you're fine now...
Now, getting into "annoying curious fan" mode, I've always wondered what you've done in all these years... some time ago I heard of a project named "Random Xaos" which had you involved, is that true? what was it about?
...and don't worry, I'll think of a load of more questions so be prepared!!! :D

cheers
