Journey to the End of the Night
Light of Day, Day of Darkness
A Blessing in Disguise

Pick your favorite GC album and explain why!

Mine is LOD, DOD, simply because of its ambition, creativity, and originality. The use of samples makes this song killer, and perhaps the most impressive part is that the structure of the song is absolutely PERFECT, I just love how it all comes to a close at the very end.

Any thoughts?

I love both LOD DOD and Blessing, but I slightly prefer Blessing..

I have Journey also, but I need to listen to it more to really discover it.

LOD, DOD of course. The reason why I became a GC fan. I was amazed by it's uniqueness and various song structures. Metal at yet another level, I thought to myself. I love every part of that song/album.

Hallucinations of Despair should be in here as well, even though it's just a demo.

Light of Day, obviously, that's why i love them....

indeed, i read enthusisatic recensions, but i was too stupid to try, although i knew Tchort...then, i heard the excerpt of 7minute long and love it...

then Summer Breeze confirmation, i decided to download them....after 1 hear, i cancelled it and ordered it!!!!
and today i can cry and enjoy for it...

Tomorrow i will order Blessing...
i still don't understand much the first album, it's way too much sad for my condition in this moment.

Hi!
Very hard to choose between Light of Day, Day of Darkness and Journey to the End of the Night.
Although I'm still not absolutely sure, I think the winner would be LoD,DoD.
Greetings
Alexandr

No winner, no loser...

Every GC-album has its own unique atmosphere and beauty...
Every GC-album has given me unique and wonderful moments... I treasure all the moments I had with every one of their albums... From the first time I heard them to the moment I knew every note by heart...

Light of Day, there's even a question about it?

What are the band's favourites both in terms of to listen to & to play?

LOD, DOD
Especially because it has that long-ass song.

hey!

someone asking what we most enjoy playing live.. it is almost impossible to answer.

playing light of day (with its melancholic edge), gives me a completely different feeling than playing the blessing-songs, which is more energetic and rock-minded. so i have to say both. and of course the response from the crowd from gig to gig meens a lot to the spesific feeling..

i guess this didn't make you wiser, but those types of questions are really hard to answer.

you could try to analyze us at the Summer Breeze Festival if you are there..

I would but I'm stuck on this bloody island somewhere above France. PLAY THE UK guys, we';; even support you!

PD

PS - To the dude who said they liked the long-ass song on LOD? That'd be the album then would it? :D Mr Sarcasm rules!

I love Light of Day, Day of Darkness for the feeling in it, when listening that at home.... wow great... but for live I prefer Blessing in Disguise, it just kicks ass, specially "Writings on the wall", my favorite song from the album (lots of times I saw GC live till now I went to the front row when they played this song hehe ;) )

LoD DoD was also the first album I heard, so I have to vote for that. First love and all that.

Right, also voted for Light of Day, Day of Darkness as its the album which got me into the band and its just impressive, ye never get bored with it. Only thing is one has to be in the right mood for it.

[edit:] Would be brilliant if that idea about a 2nd or even 3rd part of 'LOD, DOD' became reality someday ;)

@caro: As for best live song, me absolute favourite is 'As Life Flows By' ...always gives me the creeps when i hear it...

I think it doesn't need any discussion. LOD, DOD forever.
I'm very curious about LOD,DOD Pt. II & III, if these guys are able to go extra mile again, as they did in original LOD, DOD.
I'm convinced that this album is absolutely perfect in every way. Lyrics, music, sound /especially drums/, creativity...
But No. 1 of all is that whole album is only one compact song.

P.S. I'm really interested how many of you guys would prefer next album of GC to be one-track-album or multi-track-regular-album.

Hm???

Well, yeah, I said Blessing is less GREAT than LOD DOD. How ´bout that? ;)
