Hahaha, thanx dude.
Actually, Ralph from Deicide shaved it off when we did the last show in Barcelona last year, but I've started to let it grow back out again so it'll be there again in no-time.

I’m pretty sure that everyone who likes RoD and TiF will like the new one as well even though we (therefore the band) have evolved as musicians, the new material feels fresh and it’s a good mix with grooves and fast mechy stuff. We have deliberately strived to make this album more varied just to make it more interesting for us to play.
But I’m still pretty sure it will feel like a big rusty chunk of metal right up the ass…

I'm just listening to you guys for the first time, the "Transcend" album. Very cool stuff! It's my type of death metal. I'll definitely have to check out the new one when it comes out. Neurotic seems to be quite the label this year.

The new album is coming along just fine. So far we have six songs ready and a couple more in the works.
This album is going to a bit different from the last two. We've incorporated a lot more influences on this one so there's gonna be a couple of suprises I would think.. hehe
I think the main difference is that there will be a lot more melody in some of the riffs on this album and a bit more groove oriented than "Transcend..". But we've still gone absolutely crazy on some riffs so the material will have all the elements from Transcend and Remnants as well. Fast, brutal, technical but with a bit more melody and some unexpected riffs and arrangements.. =)

We're still working on getting the perfect cover for the album, can't say to much about it yet..
More melody, more groove...
Sounds fucking good!
Keep up the good work guys, you slay. :eck:

Thanx man...

The new songs are coming along great.. We have some seriously kickass shit going down up here in the grim north parts of the world. hahaha.

In less than a month from now we will start laying it down on tape so keep all those eyes open for further updates as I'm sure we'll try to keep some sort of studio diarrea(?) on our myspace or somethin somethin like that.

Cheerio

To answer both you guys:
We are very aware of the lack of cool solos in Deathmetal and we all felt that Marcus brought something very unique to the band in his style of lead and solo guitar playing.
Personally I think he did some of the best solos in death metal, not predictable and always with some sort of twist, and were gonna miss them as hell.
BUT, Germ how ever is a great guitarist as well and he is also aware of the fact that people will be expecting well written and played solos on the album and he is putting allot of time into writing his own stuff, I haven’t heard any solos yet my self but we have rehearsed together and I’m totally confident in the fact that he will deliver extremely good solos!!

Fuck yeah!

To answer previous concerns: All solos have been recorded now and I have to say that “Germ” really came through in an amazing way. We gave him rehearsal recordings of the songs 3 weeks before we entered the studio and based on those he has been able to put together some really extreme and awesome solos!!
I can assure you all, if you liked Marcus’s solos you’re not gonna be disappointed with the new album.
Germ told me that he deliberately tried to maintain the old feeling and Marcus’s very particular way of playing but still make something new and fresh with it. Make it is own style so to speak, and the result is amazing…

And don’t forget our new singer, Martin “hesta hesta Dansk pölsemän” Pedersen.
The vocals on the new album is killer as well, a bit different from Dennis, I guess I would say a bit more varied, but still very articulate and clear.

This man has a lot of anger inside him haha…

How about the production? Will it be closer to Transcend into Ferocity or to Remnants Revived? I'm hoping the latter, because in my opinion it had more power and it was clearer, therefore making the songs even better. Although Transcend owns as well. Anyway, I'm confident that you guys will kick my ass :hbang32en

I agree that RoD was a bit clearer, we deliberately strived to make TiF a bit more “unpolished” to make it feel more aggressive and more Ferocious.
With the new album we have a different kind of vibe we want to express and therefore the sound will be accordingly.
Its hard to make a comparison between the different albums, hopefully this will not be a RoD 2 or a TiF 2 sound wise but instead be totally fresh and a totally new album and therefore new sound.
I’m confident in the fact that it won’t disappoint anyone, it’s brutal, no doubt about that.
We have also tried to make the riffs and harmonies a bit more open then TiF to avoid the muddy un-hearable parts that unfortunately occurs on the TiF album.
And to quote myself from the Neurotic Records Forum:
“It’s a really “naked” and lo-distorted guitar sound, makes it heavy as fuck but it was really really hard to play with since you can hear every little thing played or not played, no wall of distortion to hide behind.
It’s going to be cool when it’s all done.”

This is definetly good news. I don't know as to how much the Remnants Revived sounds different to the original release, but in my opinion it was exactly the clearer guitar sound and the absolutly insane drum sound combined with the heavy and audible bass that made the album sound more aggressive and ferocious than the somewhat muddy TiF. ;) But as I said, I'm sure it will rule. :emot-wors

Dude they weren't that unhearable. I like it when bands do that sort of thing, makes for more "secrets" to discover in the riffage, meaning it usually lasts a lot longer in my CD player. I love the tone on TiF, much better than Remnants. I hope the new tone isn't too refined and sterile (eg Necro, new Decrepit Birth). I'm sure you'll make it nice though.
