yeah that's one of my favorites from him. people always call Visitor Q disgusting, but i think the violence and depravity in it is all pretty comical. like when the guy gets his dick stuck in the dead girl? that was fucking hilarious.

maybe i'm just a sicko. :emot-shak

miike is just great in exaggerating everything.
like dead or alive, which is another good miike flick, where the ending is just over the top.
waaaaay over the top.

if you're a sicko, i am probably as well.

I had a dream where my social studies class was put in the same situation. I was the 7th person to die because I got AWP'd. It was so retarded.

i disagree, i thought the ending was the worst part of the movie and it didn't live up to how good the bulk of the film was. it almost seemed like they ran out of ideas or realized that there was no good way to end the story. it was just a little too convinient for me that everything worked out nicely and that the main characters got out unscathed.

as for the acting, i just thought the kids were a little melodramatic. obviously most of them were young, so i won't be too critical, but a lot of the characters were unrealistic and poorly acted. however, i thought most of the adults in film did a good job (particularly Takeshi Kitano, i like him a lot).

and i haven't seen many low-budget films? please. :o

me describing the acting to a friend: "The acting is sort of bad, but you can't tell, because they're Japanese."

the acting isn't bad.. they're 9th graders, it is all quite intentional.

the movie is brilliant for it's social/political satire, cinematography/imagery, and overall badassness.

I read the manga version 1st (well, ive just finished the 5th and not sure how many are left) and i think the manga is much much better than the film. I much prefer the 2nd film aswell, alhtough it wud be useless without the first one so... yeh go find the manga books somewhere they're well worth it.

dude, after that scene is when i walked out of the room. I was like, "No, I can't watch this." Like, right after he was about to jam the needle thing in the dude's dick.

yes, you can download most of Miike's popular movies on just about any torrent site.

yeah Ichi is probably the goriest and most difficult to watch of all his movies. it's the only movie (besides Audition) that has serious violence and isn't completely over-the-top. you should have stuck with it though. Ichi, in my opinion, is Miike's best film overall. the ending is sweeeet.

Could watch it a million times, not the same when you know the ending though lol

Ichi the Killer is just an anime/manga made into a motion picture by an insanely good japanese director called Takeshi Miike. He's made about 50/60 movies in the past 10years. There is no order. OLDBOY is simply another asian film that kicks ass. Directed by Chan-Wook Park, who is also an amazing director (check out Sympathy for Mr Vengance)
