I've recently been blessed (cursed?) with the music of Horse the band thanks to the metal music channel (ya know... one of the cable channels that just plays music?). After weeks of searching the internets for any and all info regarding these guys and buying their cds (r. borlax can't be found in stores so it's shipping, I don't have it yet.... legally), I have a couple questions:
Can someone be kind enough and list the original lineup and lineup changes throughout the years? I'm a huge fan but feel scrubby not knowing anything about these fuckers. I've trolled around enough and can't find the information I'm looking for. Supplying who was responsible for the which songs on their earlier songs would be much appreciated (lyrically and musically). Forgive me if this info is disclosed in R. Borlax... I don't have it yet.
My other question is how did you all hear about them? At a show, demo, compilation, MySpace...? I wouldn't be in the grasp of the mechanical hand if i never changed the channel that one day when one of their songs was in the middle of being played... thank the tv gods.
First heard The Black Hole on a Metal Channel as well. So, I also thank the T.V gods lol. and I'm a late HORSE bloomer so I can't help you much. Search their site?

I heard them through MySpace. I randomly saw a kid who had Cutsman as his avatar, and I love Megaman with all my heart, so I checked his profile, and Cutsman played on his music player. Immediately I thought "oh my fucking God" and quickly downloaded their discography and bought both of their cd's within the next couple of days. And lucky for me, I heard them just in time (maybe two weeks before) to see that they were playing a show near me. I saw them at The Sonar in Baltimore, and to be honest, it was the best night of my life. And I'm not just saying that, and maybe that makes me a lame-ass, but I can't remember anything better than HORSE live. So the next day I stole my old keyboard from my friend who had borrowed it for like 2 years and started learning all I could. Rah rah rah rah rah rah
Sorry I'm going on about nothing, you just asked where we heard HORSE, and yeah... MySpace.
As for the line-up changes, Erik (keyboards) and David (guitar) are the only 2 members that have been there since the beginning. Before Dash (bass), there was a Mormon guy named Andy (who played with a pick) and before Eli (drums) there was some dude who could barely play Cutsman at tempo. And there was maybe another drummer before that... I don't know. And there was a Spanish-looking bassist before Andy... it's all pretty confusing. I still don't know who is singing on HORSE's EP.

Paypal is most definitely available all over Europe. =)
As for me, I guess I got into them about a year ago. I can't remember how I came across them.
I was so excited when they announced a UK tour, till they decided to miss my city out (wtfmate second biggest city in the UK) >8[ I tried to find a venue who'd match the guarantee but no luck.. And when they played a city close by it so happened to be the same night as meh bands gig.

thanks for all the info, guys.
my main reason for asking about line-up changes is because i was curious if nathan wrote any of the songs on R. Borlax b/c some of them seem to parallel mechanical hand. i think nathan is an amazing writer.

super-sapphire, thank you so much.
one small question... those songs you mentioned that Nathan wrote (and adam sang), are they the only ones he wrote on r. borlax (not including flower of woe of course)? probably not since i recognize similarities between the writing styles of both albums.

i think i either saw the bunnies video and chased it down, or it ended up in my streamrip pile. i considered purchasing r.borlax quite a few times before doing it, mostly because i was really poor due to financial retardation
