Anyone heard of Gorod?

Yeah I dont know about the name but a very interesting band from France...I think.They kept my attention longer than Necrophagist did,still not an Atheist or Cynic but at least an new band with some great ideas.....well worth checking out

they dont do it for me really, the most noteable thing is that its a girl drumming (lazily imo)

I've had Gorod'd "Neurotripsicks" for a few months now; though it's technically proficient and displays a fairly distinctive riffing style the music lacks the "soul" that bands like Atheist and Cynic displayed in their respective heydays. I suppose it's possible to blame today's technologically advanced "production standards," for creating some of this sterility, but I’ll always prefer bands whose overall sound favors unadulterated energy over a crystalline-like clarity (this is not to suggest that these two attributes are mutually exclusive, it’s just that few bands have been able to achieve such a sound).
