i dont want to seem like a suck up, but thanks for coming to your own forum (fancy that!)

the fans, myself included, really appreciate being able to talk with you and get answers regarding you all

if you agree, post so you can let the guys know you also appreciate them taking time out of their day

Good idea, Transient. I dont think it's sucking up at all when you're showing respect.

But yeah, it's great that every one of us can come on here and talk to you guys. It's really kind of surreal because I live in a remote part of NB, where there's no metal scene to speak of, and I can talk to the guys from one of the most infuential metal bands in the world.

Good luck at your rehersals on monday

Yeah, it's great to see a band who actually seems to care about what the fans think. Thanks guys.

Yeah, I love this privilege.. It's funny to see a bunch people who are fans of like good charlotte and simple plan and all that shit freak out about them and only dream of having them say one word to them, but here we are interacting with them casually on a message board.. I love how easily accessible non-mainstream bands are as opposed to mainstream.

definitely. even in our own little metal scene there are people who are put on a pedestal and feel they should act and behave like theyre different from everyone else. i dont want to get into a personality bashing thing but im sure there are people that pop into your head

and yeah, i listened to UP today and it still blew me away. the re-releases are, imo, the best re-releases ever done. its a demo collecting nerds wet dream!

thanks for joining in guys haha

No problem! And, thanks for all the support. The continual, and growing, support we've received all these years is appreciated more than you know.

We had our first rehearsals Monday and Tuesday nights in preparation for the upcoming shows in Europe and the U.S........holy shit was it fun.....things went very well... It's on .....it's on....

"I love how easily accessible non-mainstream bands are as opposed to mainstream."

You, my friend, hit the nail on the head with that one!

Just makes myself an even bigger fan when bands take time out to chat with us. These guys have every right to be snobs, but are cooler than can be.

I would like to shake the digital data stream hands of all members of Atheist as well. Been a long time fan of the band since Piece of Time, as well as technical and progressive metal.

Wore out my UP cassette, and bought UP and Elements on cd years later... and while nothing was wrong with them, I simply had to have the re-releases as well (just got UP and Elements today, hoping PoT arrives shortly). Thanks for the music and the memories. Most of all, thanks for pushing metal into areas nobody thought possible, and for being a huge influence on me and the first band I was in, in high school.

Hope you guys can make it to Chicago!

Well thanks so very much, and we do plan on making Chi town a stop on the limited US dates we will be looking into.
All of the folks here are just so kind, and we look forward to hanging out with each one of you at the upcoming shows, we will be at our merch booth so PLEASE make sure to come and say hello, it's truly the best reward hearing your stories, and how, and when you all have discovered these tunes, this whole thing is the most humbling experience i have EVER been a part of. Cheers Kelly

It would be totally awesome if you guys came to Portugal! Especially in Oporto (in a place called Hard Club). There´s an whole lot of people that dig Atheist around here! You might as well consider this since you guys never came to Portugal (I think...).

Ah, yes Moonspell. I have'nt heard anything the've done in years so I dont quite remember what they sound like. Isnt it Black Metal? To be honest I'm not a real fan of most Black Metal. I do however like Behemoth, their most recent album, are they considered Black Metal? They sound a little more like Morbid Angel to me.

The Ransack (Death Metal)
Demon Dagger (Thrash Metal)
Fili Nigrantium Infernalium (Anarco-Black Metal)
Moonspell (Black/Gothic Metal)
Sirius (Black Metal)
Holocausto Canibal (Death Metal)
Tarantula (Heavy Metal)

These are some of the most famous ones around here.

I'd love to go to Oporto.... we'd get some good port wine... maybe we can tour the douro valley.... Ahhh.. .Spain..... Let's pull for a date in Spain....

yeah, I'd say Moonspell are more gothic than black...

kinda gloomy sludgy sound...

it's not black metal like bands like Dimmu Borgir, Immortal or Satyricon... (or the other "tru" black metal bands...)
