Apparently the latest album is very different to sound from their earlier work, so could anyone tell me how the style and sound compare exactly?

Stronger progressed sound still spazzed out metal but maybe more focus on the DM side of things. Lyric content has changed, more dark humour and the high vocals are no longer cockney, they got the Wilson on high instead of Mr.Gore. Comes with a free DVD as well.

Basically, the quality of playing has improved, the vocals are better, the lyrics are darker.
Quality of playing has improved...well, for which prize. I love technical DM but the new album just doesnīt attract me at all. The vocals are shitty sorry. I loved the old vocals. This fucking insane screams and the unique guttural vocals, that was great. Darker lyrics I donīt know about this part!I only know that I loved the old lyrics very funny and clever! John Wayne Gacy is such a funny text. Itīs a pitty but Iīm honestly dissapointed by the new one :(
By the way if you like the old gorerotted stuff, check out these guys! www.profanation.net! Cool band, is quite similar to the old gorerotted stuff, Iīve got both records of them.

The newest album has a grim and frostbitten cover of EMPEROR's classic song "I Am The Black Wizards". Fucking ace.
not on my copy...

Why is this artwork different to the one on my cd?
