What band should we sign next?

This is always sort of a fun way to find out what bands people think we should be looking at. And it's a great way for our label to find out about bands that we maybe have not heard of.

When posting your responses keep in mind what sort of bands we are interested in, and also please do not mention any bands that you know currently have deals with other labels, as we wouldn't be able to sign then anyways.

A band name and hopefully a link to some place one can find them on the internet would be cool.

I wish you guys could get Decrepit Birth. They deserve so much more attention then they get cause Unique Leader doesn't do a very good job getting their bands well known out there. Just Deeds Of Flesh and it's so ironic that they own the label too.

Well as far as being cool with them goes, we have a business relationship with ULR. They carry our releases and we carry theirs. But that's really about it I guess. I have nothing against ULR personally. My comment is purely based off conversations I've had with bands that have left that label or are currently on that label. They've all say the same thing - basically that the label does do everything as promised. Yes Severed Savior would be a nice addition... ...but I could totally see them staying with ULR. I think a lot of bands out there sign with labels not really knowing what all their options are with other labels, so they just sign with the label that seems to be the best option, but maybe really isn't the best option.

We do check out everything - but we ususally only contact bands if we're interested. The reason is that we are extremely busy sending out orders, promoting, putting out releases and merch, etc, to be contacting everyone that wants to know what we think of their material - that's what reviews in zines are for. This is how all labels operate, not just ours. And we're typically interested in brutal death, black death, and grindcore... ...not so much into black metal, symphonic dark metal, etc. But keep doing what your doing and get a full band together so that you can promote your band by playing shows - very important. Over time hopefully your music with develop into something more mature and full and will grab the attention of a label that is interested in your genre of music.

Entities is a new demo song, but their EP "Doom" is absolutely excellent.

They've got a nice video for "Entombment of a Machine" on there as well.

They're also very young, still in high school - which is very odd considering how great the writing is.

Yeah, we've actually pursued a few bands similar to these guys, you know the new wave of bands out where every member has short black messy hair, the kind that Metal Blade seems to be signing quite a bit of now days. But anyways, yeah all these bands have huge attitudes that I don't have time for. They are definitely a different breed...

What's up man - Despondancy I believe is sticking with the same label for their upcoming release, but I'm not 100% sure on that - they are a good band though. Man Must Die is also great IMO - but they have not responded to a single attempt to contact them. I know for sure that Defeated Sanity are staying with the same label for their next release. And Exculcerate is looking from what I've heard, but I'd have to hear some new promo material before even considering them as I thought their first CD was decent, but nothing above that. I'll be sure to check out the new M.S.I material when it's available. Inveracity actually wanted to sign a deal with BB, but we turned them down. They just didn't seem to have what we thought would be good for BB, average, but not above average. So ULR can have them, no problems at all - I'm quite sure they have a contract with ULR. We've actually got our eye on a couple of other ULR bands that are looking to leave that label.

Yeah, it's my main band now. We are a mixture of shit...now we brutal style slam I guess...but slower than modern stuff...and I dunno, we have doomy bits and sorta original-ish type shit thrown in...and probably the most guttural cunt you'll hear singing- and that's from my opinion as a vocalist, and not trying to big-note the band...he's a weapon! But yeah, we're whatever style haha...Our older stuff we called Caveman Slam- in other words...primitive doomy sludgy rocky slammy death metal...played slightly sloppy then, as I'd only been drumming for like 1 1/2 years when we recorded our last album!!!

There are old songs at our website, www.msi.deflection7.com - but really only "Seeping Meatbucket" is worth hearing. Oh ,and we are hell-jokey kinda shit lyrically and visually...all our new songs and most of our old ones are sorta comedy based porn-gore stuff...and most people find it amusing too which is good- cos there's a lotta try-hard shit out there haha...(like us, ha)...

Oh, and I guess we do have a little bit of a grindy feel in some of our songs- but it's not a major part of our shit..although, our songs (especially on the last album) fluctuate a bit between styles so you may have heard on of our grindier numbers...
