Just wanna know if John of Incantation gave a helping hand in writing "Thy Feeble Savior"? In the thanks list of the " Dissecting"-CD you say: John of Incantation - thanks for "Thy Feeble". Or is it just an insider joke?
BTW Incantation has a song called "Feeble Existence" on their "Decimate Christendom"-CD. Any connection?

I thought Jesse might answer this one... ...but, I believe Jesse got the idea of the song title Thy Feeble Savior from Incantation where they apparently say the phrase Feeble Savior in the lyrics of one of their songs. But I believe that is it as far as any involvement from Incantation. Apparently Jesse thought this deserved thanks to John of Incantation.

Well, I lately read a post on the Incantation board where somebody quoted Mr. Pillard. He said that he's still in contact with John and would come back to the band whenever John wants it. First I thought that it would be great to have him back. But then I thought it would be bad for Incant's reputation. I know that Craig did that Sturmfuhrer band/project which has a strong right wing or even Nazi content lyricwise. I mean I got those records and like'em for what they are. But the lyrics are nothing I can identiefy with. And I read interviews with Craig where the interviewers mocking him for Sturmfuhrer.
So there you go.
But does anybody know his Disciples Of Mockery record? And the split cd Womb/D.O.M.? That's cool stuff! Especially the D.O.M. stuff. I heard a lot of people saying that this should have been the follow-up record to "Mortal Throne...". I'm not sure about that as I think Craig's vocals have become weaker for me. But if you like Incant you will like D.O.M. too. Also I think since John took over the vocals the band sounds more rotten. His vocals always remind me of Christ Reifert's to some degree. Well, whatever Incantation kills. They did everytime I saw'em on stage. The line-up doesn't matter that much as long as John is there. Hail Incantation!!!!

The last couple times I saw Incantation I was a little let down. The main reason being that for what seemed like the last five min of the set john just turned around to see what kind of feedback he could get from his amp. As a fan i wanted to hear more music.
To be honest I didn't know about any of Pillards other projects or that he did some nazi stuff. I just thought he was the Incantation sound. I think a lot of bands can get different guitar players, drummers, bass and so forth but a different singer to me just makes it a new band.

Yeah, look at Malevolent Creation after Hoffman left. I heard some rumors that he might come back. God, how that'd be awesome. Brett has some of the coolest vocals ever. And I'd go to say that Retribution is one of the best five death metal albums ever written along with Death - Human, Cryptopsy - None So Vile, Morbid Angel - Altars of Madness, and Suffocation - Effigy of the Forgotten.

100 % true! I saw Brett on their "The fine art of murder" tour. He's the man. Kyle should stay with Hateplow. Anyways, what about bands who had different vocalists but all their albums rule even though? I think Incantation, Disgorge(us) and Internal Bleeding are falling into that category.

Yeah, you can add Devourment to that list too. Also, Morbid Angel. I would have really liked to have seen Jared Anderson get to play with Morbid. That would have ruled so hard.

Found that on the Malevolent homepage. I thought some of you might be interested:

I wanted to tell you is that Kyle has just announced that he can't do the tour in europe with us due to personal reasons and instead of canceling another tour because of Kyle and his personal problems we have contacted original vocalist Brett Hoffman to do the tour and he accepted our offer and is flying down to Florida next week to rehearse with the band until we leave in Jan 3rd. We simply cannot keep canceling tours because of Kyle and let down our fans and the promoters and booking agent's who spend a lot of time and money on these tours. We cannot afford to lose our credibility as a touring band so this is how it has to be if we wish to continue!!!!
This is really great news for a lot of fans and also marks the return of the original 4 band members(me.Jon Rubin,Jason Blachowicz and Brett Hoffman)together for the first time since our first european tours in 1991 and 1994 with this line up.If all goes well on this tour we may replace Kyle with Brett and finish writing and recording our 10th album and then do a massive world tour for the next 2 years!!!!
No One Can Destroy This Malevolent Creation!!!!!!

Phil

Of course he's talking about touring Europe 2006! No old shiiiit!

I get your point. Well, when I saw Incantation first (1994) John already celebrated a harsh feedback-orgy. And I fuckin' loved it. For me it's boring to only hear the songs. If I wanna hear the songs I throw the cd into my hifi and that's it. Improvisation is rare if not non-existing in the DM scene. That's why I like the feedback stuff. Reminds me of good ol' Noisecore. BTW old school Noisecore rules! I can stand a fair dose of Anal Cunt, Minch, Pile Of Eggs etc. Not harsh electronical Noise - that bores me to death.

All I would want is to hear MC play premature burial and multiple stabwounds. Those two songs to this day still make the hair stand up on the back of my neck.

I would like to do something a little out of the norm to spice up our stage show but I don't wanna do anything cliche or something that would be out of our element. I used to have big spiked arm gauntlets and shit but when we started getting away from the "satanic" thing it just seemed out of place. I want people to fucking go crazy and stage dive and shit but seems like no one does that anymore even at the "big" shows.

Premature Burial is awesome man. All of MC's early releases were. Spike arm gauntlets are fucking m3tal dude! I told the guys in our band to wear them with those huge ass carpenter nails in them.

There is a Tattoo shop I go to that has these six or seven inch spikes that are thick as hell that i used to make mine. I let a guy in another band use them and never got them back and since I cut my hair... a baseball hat and spikes would look pretty fucking gay haha
