how was the "new" guitar guy?
he was good when i saw him... looked a little, er, crazy... but also looked like he was totally going for it as well, so I had to give him kudos for that.
If they played the same setlist as in Manchester, it'd be Phobophile they finished with
I hate it though... you have such a good time seeing a band live that you instantly want to see them again, and not have to wait x amount of months to see them again..

Surt- I don't even have the problem of seeing em in the first place. Hopefully they've got a few more albums in them..
Flu- The guitarist is Christian Donaldson from Quebec out-there metallers Mythosis; they used him for the most recent touring leg last year. Phobophile was one of the songs he had down pat at the tryout before Alex started rehearsing the set with him.
According to LW he's quite a bit younger than the rest, in his early 20s, and he's doing very well in the guitar spot. Glad to hear he looks batshit- always good!
If he has to return to Mythosis eventually (they haven't broken up) and Jon still doesn't want to rejoin, I would like to see Flo & co. pitch the awesome Dan Mongrain to join permanently. Martyr rules but this is a "hostile Takeover" I'd like to see! Apparently he makes quite a bit of cash as a very in demand session player in the Quebec music scene, and maximum respect for that. When my buddy in London described the show, everyone of the bands was treated well... but you knew who was benevolently running the show. Half hour set up, with all equipment from previous sets removed completely and ringleader Flo given space to assemble his war-machine drum kit.
I also heard that brought their own fucking PA which they used.
And that their merch table was crammed with goodies that were going fast *ka-ching* Obviously Cryptopsy are now technical DM giants, alongside Hate Eternal and Nile.
Mr.Mongrain, I think we can do a deal here... :emot-nod:
