Damn man, I didn't know it was programed.....great job. I have the 770 as well, it is working rather well...except the damn thing is starting to lose space
Hahaha - yeah dude, the DR-770 has a limit of 11,000 drum samples that can be programmed at in at any given time - after that it's basically out of space. When I did the "Dissecting..." songs I was only able to program in 5 songs until it ran out of space. Then I recorded those 5 drum tracks. I then backed up those tracks by doing a midi data dump. Then I cleared those songs out and programmed the next 4 songs. Yeah it's a pain in the ass, but I guess that's what I get for trying to program death metal on drum machine. Or I could have gone with option two and programmed nothing but Mortician drum beats - hahaha!

No one wants that!

One thing that I don't know was to clear was that Randy wrote all those songs so the drums were actually pretty damn close to what Randy played. He just wasn'r available to do the actual recording. I think everything but the last two tracks were almost identicle to what Randy played. Only after playing the shit since 98 we would obviously speed it up quite a bit when we play live.

Dude, I wish we were playing it. Jesse was talking to Steve (the owner of Station 4) a few months ago and Steve said that Incinerate was on the top of his list of bands to put on the Morbid Angel show. Then somehow Demonicon got on there. I know one of the guys from Demonicon works at Station 4 so they have an in that way I suppose. But yeah we're a little pissed that we were told one thing by the owner and then come to find out a different band is playing it. But oh well, we have national fests and tours to do that are far more important to us than being a band that only plays the cool local shows like you know who.
Well, it isn't at Station 4 anymore. It is at Star Central in Columbia Heights. which is the venue that is getting all the shows lately(I don't care since the sound is damn good) But yea, goddamn you know who.....such a snoooooze fest, why the fuck is it that YOU guys are the ONLY band in Minnesota that knows how to write good music. Not that I am not glad that you guys own...but holy fuck there is a lot of complete shite coming out of MN as of late. I am trying my best to get some good shit rocking, but it is rather tough up in DA Nord.
p.s. Most of my hate for Demonicon comes from when they headlined a show with Gorgasm....they have got some balls man.

Yeah I really wanna get out to see you play! I think that deal with Demonicon headling was more Gorgasm wanting to get on the road to their next show more than an Ego thing with Demonicon. They have been along for so long that they get alot of the shows that way. I wish them the best but fuck it would be nice to get a big show like that at least once in your own town.

Maybe you should think about some kind of Brutal Bands fest type thing. Not exclusive to just bands on your label, but it would be sweet to see a good fest that isn't just the same bands. Maybe this is too much of a pain in the ass...I have no idea, just a suggestion haha. Either way, I have seen A-blast and Demonicon far too many times.

Hahaha - not to start up an inter-band arguement but... ...I hate to see Randy get more credit than he deserves.
Actually as for the drums on "Dissecting..." - the programming on The Flesh Shall Rise To Serve, Fucking The Rotting Nun, and Thy Feeble Savior were the only songs Randy wrote drums to that I attempted to program exactly as he played them. The reason is that I had a recording of these three songs to listen to. Endless Defilement Of The Dead and Mutilation Of Christ were programmed based off of what I could remember he played, with a few added things of my own here and there. Denounced By God was programmed based partially off the drumming that Tom Olmstead played on that song with a few added things of my own here and there. And Dissecting The Angels, Fuck Your Jihad, and Raping Mary were entirely written drum-wise by me.
So I'd give credit to Randy for the actual drum writing for about half that CD, and credit to Tom Olmstead for the drumming during a few riffs on one song.

Yeah man, I've been looking to do a fest in MN for a little while now. The Bloodletting tour is happening this summer, and I've been trying to get it to come here on a Saturday and make it an all day fest. And yeah, I would probably only book like 2 MN bands at the most - the rest would be out of state signed acts. But shit man, dealing with Unique Leader is so tough all the time, really a pain the ass. They don't respond to emails in a timely fashion, or they don't respond at all. So, I don't know. I doubt this will happen, as I'm not going to keep emailing them constantly about this. They know I want this tour to come here, so they are going have to get in touch with me if they want to play in MN. So we'll see what happens...
On a side note, I am looking to bring Abysmal Torment (Malta) here to MN for a show this summer as they are touring the US this July. So I'll be sure to let everyone know more about that when it happens.

if this album had real drums it'd sound a lot better, I understand you can't always have real drums, but just thought I'd mention it.

Yeah, I wished it had real drums as well. We actually had a drummer in the band too and he had like 6 months to learn the material, half of which he already knew. But he didn't put forth the effort and we had to go with the machine I guess.
Anatomize will have real drums though, and I must say, so far they are turning out to be some of the best death metal drums I've ever heard. Quite a high level of technicality to them.
