Well as much as I agree that they should play some shows for fans over there, it's really between the band/booking agent & the promoters. If they can't reach an agreement, it's just not gonna happen.

I thought they would be for sure, but I spoke to one of the guys booking the event and he said Atheist was asking way too much, and they have several bands to pay (including many from Europe).

Pretty sad, I will be at MDF for sure and was really looking forward to seeing them..

I live in NC so none of the announced US dates are anywhere near me.
Atheist asking Way to much??? That guy is full of shit!, , we did however get an offer from them, but they pulled it before we could confirm. Thats the fucking truth yall! cheers Kelly We would still do it if they put there offer back on the table.
You see we ARE trying to get some american shows, but american promoters WANNA PAY PENNIES and have no respect it seems, and we refuse to get fucked again this time around. There are tons of politics that you guys will never hear about. We are working hard to secure a few american shows! thanks for your support, good luck MDF :beerchug:

Glad I'm hopefully catching them at Wacken Open Air. Are there going to be t-shirts and other merch? And possibly, a hug-and-greet session with the band? Hahah! That'd be legendary

The only worthwhile bands playing Deathfest this year are Demilich and Dismember.

There are no confirmed us dates, however in the FAQ section of the website:

Q: Will there be any US/Canadian dates?
A: We are trying to set up an exclusive 5 show run in New York, Chicago, LA, Atlanta, and Florida, more on that as it develops.
