Atheist Confirmed For Bloodstock Open Air 2006! [Archive]

Atheist are now confirmed for Bloodstock Open Air [ Link (http://www.bloodstockopenair.com) ] in Derbyshire, UK!!! This will be the FIRST date in the 2006 European tour! The band will play on July 14th before heading over to Italy for Evolution Fest on July 16-17th... Don't miss this opportunity to see one of the few reunion shows with the original Unquestionable Presence lineup!

They're also apparently trying to get Wintersun for it who I'm sure have a lower profile in the UK than Detonation do.

I was talking to the guys from Nailed at the Cryptopsy gig the other night and they said they were going to approach Vince about playing. There's still a fair few slots to be filled over the two days - especially considering there's supposedly going to be two stages this year instead of the single one they had at last year's so it could well be worth your while getting in touch with him.

I'm really pleased about Bloodstock! I'm probably going to see if there's a single day pass... don't want to do the whole weekend... just Atheist. :)

I'm still tempted to do Wacken mind you. :) And maybe one of the american dates when they're up. (I work in the Airline industry... so getting there isnt a problem!!! )

Apparently the single day passes were sold 'on the door' last year so there's a pretty good chance of that happening again this year. I wouldn't be worried about them selling out as the site's rated for 10000 but there's very little chance of getting any more than half of that - unfortunately the 'real' metal scene in the UK just isn't that big anymore... although those of us that are there are bloody dedicated, I go to many shows up and down the country every year and it's always the same people I see :lol:

I found a special on 1Gb Sony MemoryStick ($37 ea) , so I got two cards for my camera.......Do you want to use my cam to take some shots of us while we're up? (Obviously I can't do it.) I have a shitload of AA batteries too.

I should be good, I have a Nikon D50, couple different lenses (probably only use 1... depends on stage height/distance), external flash (doubt I'll use it... typically washes out all lighting cause it's fucking bright...) 2gb & 1gb SD cards... and my backup Nikon Coolpix 4600 with 128mb SD card... This will be the first time I use my D50 for a gig... usually I use my brother-in-law's Nikon D100 with the rest of my gear... Yeah I like Nikon... we have a regular nikon SLR as well (hence the bucketload of accessories...)
