Well, I made a trip to my local muzak connection, picked "Mark of the Legion" and began my Deeds discovery in earnest. I am VERY fucking impressed. I really get an image of these guys as expert musicians trying to blow each others' minds with their brutality and precision. If you can get into it, great... if not, be crushed into the ground. It's early days but I thought of a hypertechnical DM band taking Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel and Suffocation influences and using it as the starting point for their own punishing style.

Obviously, I know about their importance to the underground by founding UL. Their fans are seriously devoted. If you are one, please give me your thoughts and opinions.

The Store has "Trading Pieces," "Inbreeding the Anthropogi," "Path of The Weakening" and "Crown of Souls" in stock. They also have the rereleased "Gradually Melted" EP, which I have been told by my most trusted metal guru totally hits the spot. It's only four tracks, but they're meant to be mint. If you endorse this recording, convince me to take the plunge!

Gradually Melted is sweet. The production isn't too raw either. Shame they don't have Reduced to Ashes though. You'd probably get into that CD really easily.

As for MOTL, Drink The Blood is a fucking sick track. Track 5 as well, the name escapes me at the moment.

Deeds fucking rules. If you`re to pick up another record from that store, go for Trading pieces, although you can`t really go wrong with any deeds.

All of Deeds' releases are very good. Reduced is amazing In Vermis, as Cloaca said, you'll definitely dig it. I feel that Mark of the Legion is probably one of the most underrated releases ever. No one mentions it at all. I love it. The riffing is badass, and so is the drums. Crown is amazing too.

I have Path Of The Weakening and Reduced To Ashes.
In my opinion, RTA is a must-have, one of the best cd's in my collection!
POTW is also good, but not as awesome as RTA.
I still need to buy the rest some day, hehe.

Thanks for all the feedback guys, much appreciated!
The investigation is going very well. "An Eternity of Feasting and Brawling," title track," "Spewing Profligacy" and "Master of Murder" are definitely hitting the spot! :emot-head And the instrumental closer "Drink the Blood" just leaves me completely pulverised! :bonk:

I only have "Path of the Weakening" and it's pretty sweet. I ordered a copy of "Inbreeding the Anthropophagi" ages ago but the website I ordered it from (Unmatched Brutality) was out of stock.

My favourite releases from them are Inbreeding the Anthrophagi and Gradually Melted. Godly albums! Unfortunately I haven't been as keen on the newer albums because it just doesn't sound fresh anymore... totally predictable really. Making the same album everytime works for Bolt Thrower but not for a technical band like DoF.

Reduced is definatly their best album IMO. Its so professional sounding and the riffs are the most bad ass and creative ones Deeds has ever written. i thought COS didn't offer anything new, but it was still a sick release. trading Peices is also a classic. Pure fuckin brutality. Inbreeding is the fucking SHIT and definatly the most raw sounding and savage album of theirs. As for MOTL, i really don't like this album much. its incredably boring to me except for a few songs. I dunno i just can;t get into it.

Reduced to Ashes I really like this cd maybe more than Mark of the Legion, but it's a close call.
