Canto Pay Tribute to The Standells

Los Angeles rock band, CANTO, have now released their official video for “Dirty Water,” the focus track to their upcoming brand new 5-song EP, Ride Away. “Dirty Water” is a mock homage to Boston, and is CANTO‘s interpretation of the 1966 garage band classic by another California rock band, The Standells.

The band is a family affair consisting of three brothers, Seamus Blackwell (Vocals, Guitar), Aidan Blackwell (Bass), and David Blackwell (Drums) who have been heavily involved in music all their lives. Lead singer, Seamus says “I was surrounded by musicians growing up, because of it, I wanted to play any instrument I could get my hands on.” That is apparent right down to the name of the band, which is the Latin word for “to sing,” the brothers showcase their love for the classics with influences from rock music of the 1960s and 70s combined with the energy of a mature and operatic alt-rock sound.
