Baroness Bus Driver Faces Charges
Remember when Baroness were involved in a major bus accident? Well, German bus driver Norman Markus – who was driving Baroness after a show in Bristol, England at the time of the crash last August – is facing several charges. A number of members in Baroness were severely injured in the crash, with casualties ranging from broken bones to lacerations.
The BBC are reporting that Avon and Somerset Police are calling the investigation ‘very complicated’, but Markus will be facing charges of:
- Using a vehicle with defective brakes and breaching a 7.5 tonne weight limit.
- Insufficient daily and weekly rest periods.
- Using a vehicle in a condition likely to cause danger of injury.
- Not having the correct licence entitlement to drive the coach involved in the crash.
The Baroness bus driver is due to appear before Bath Magistrates’ Court on April 5.
