Set to start on Friday, July 6, Shockwave Festival 2012 featuring Fear Factory, Cattle Decapitation, Misery Index, Revocation, Havok, Last Chance To Reason, Vildhjarta, The Browning, and Forged In Flame has been cancelled. Just a few weeks ago Dirge Within had dropped off the Shockwave Festival, along with Voivod, perhaps knowing something of its impending doom. Alas.

?It is with great disappointment that we have to make this announcement. With the recent departure of Voivod from the Shockwave Festival lineup. As [sic] well as low advance ticket sales we have decided to pull the plug on the Shockwave Festival.”
