Joe was my friend. He was proud of his time with incantation but he had so much more happening in his life. He had just built a recording studio in his home and was making some awsome music. He loved Chicago sports, the Bears and the Cubs. Joe was just an all around great guy. He was so politically incorect it was one of the most endearing features of his personality. Metal lost a beast on the bass but life lost an all around great dude.RIP Joe, the King is gone but he’s not forgotten! If you suffer from depression, seek help before it’s too late.

I grew up with Joe in South Florida. He was my best friend and like a brother to me. I loved him very much. He was truly one of the greatest people I had ever known. We had so much fun together. The man was a riot and the very best of the best. He was looking forward to releasing new music last summer and it’s such a tragedy the world has been denied that privilege. Like Doug said, if you’re suffering from depression seek help immediately.

Truly sad. I only have one Incantation album, “Golgotha” which is not with him. Do you guys know how the depression manifested itself in him? I know he played in Brazil with the band. This is such a pity. Seems like a really nice guy from what I read online. I wish peace to all you who were his friends and family. Life shouldn’t end this way. A pity fans and friends couldn’t help. Depression is a serious disease but like you guys said there is help out there.
