Guns N’ Roses Return to United States, Play Show at Izod Center

Axl Rose, one of the more protracted train wrecks in rock and roll that we just can tear our eyes from, got his act together enough to play a show with this year’s edition of Guns N’ Roses last night at New Jersey’s Izod Center. Though starting late (though 11pm is pretty reasonable in Axl-time) the crew delivered a solid set, according to Rolling Stone.

The show in East Rutherford, NJ was the first time GNR played the United States in five years and the band treated fans to a two and a half hour show that spanned the band’s full career. Axl, in a par-for-the-course move, was rocking a handlebar moustache, lots of chains, and a fedora. Though Axl is the only remaining original member, he did manage to fit in a nice joke about bassist Tommy Stinson, calling him “the replacement from the Replacements
